She came in wet and I ot a towel to dry her, I noticed many white bits on her fur, got the wire brush and brushed her, it looks like dandruff do, cats get that ,its not flea eggs as when I looked through the magnifying glass you can se its like of flaky bits.. What can I do about it, are there dandruff shampoos .She's not been bathed as she hates water .Any ideas .

Ive always suffered from dandruff and so i used T-gel and capisal anti-dandfuff shampoos, but when i got pregnant my doc told me not to use them because of coal tar and so i stopped, it also says on the back of the bottle not reccomended during pregnancy, its been 9 weeks and my head is soo itchy its driving me mad :( .. Anyone know any good natural ways to get rid of it?

I'm so sick of coughing and hacking to no end! The cough syrup I'm using isn't working, nor are the cough drops, chloraseptic spray, gargling salt water, vicks vapor rub....ect ect. that's the shampoo i use, i have had hair loss a long time before getting this shampoo. I always had thick hair though and didn't really think anything of it until i started having a severe itching. Now i use that shampoo to keep the itching at bay. I was actually on here looking for a home remedy and just to learn more about scalp related funal infections. I wish i could find something that worked on the hair loss and itching better.

If you have had any dandruff as a side effect or in the genes, let me know have a great remedy for it and now my hairdresser tells everybody this remedy. Well hope all is well, work, life, home/relationships and all.

I have had dandruff in my hair.. it increases during winter. what should I do for this?

I first started getting dandruff a while back; now I have spots that are very visible, especially when I get out of the shower. They don't really itch or hurt but they do have a redness to them, but its just really dry patches; I've tried treating them with over-the-counter dandruff shampoo but to no avail. I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems.

My son is going to be 10 in November and he has a body odor that is so bad, we have to make him shower when he gets home from school. He uses safguard soap and I know for a fact that he is washing his body. I don't want him to be made fun of at school because of this odor however, I have made him use deodorant also. ve just about given up on my scalp. Ever since middle school my dandruff has been a huge problem. I have tried just about every remedy there is from all shampoos over the counter to stuff like mayonnaise, limes, and coconut oil. I just can't seem to keep it at bay. Having the benefit of working from home i decided to shave my head completely to physically see what was wrong with my head. After shaving my scalp was covered with red irritated marks all over.

The first doctor prescribed a steroid cream and told me to wash my hair with dandruff shampoo and put a little of the suds in my ears and on my groin. The steroid cream worked for a couple of weeks and then stopped. A few years later a second doctor gave me samples of an anti-fungal cream and told me to use it. That did nothing. So basically I've been itching non-stop and clawing my body up pretty good for 15 years.

I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Along my hairline and my head. I've always had a problem with dandruff and i'm thinking it's moreso eczema now than dandruff. While I was pregnant it all went away (which i LOVED!) but now it's back and my face is super red and hurts and I can't stop scratching it!
