Avatar f tn I have been prescribed teva-cyclosporine 0.05%, I was wondering if it is okay to put the eye drops in my eye, and then after like 10 minutes or more use a warm eye compress, I am very stressed due to my bloodshot eyes from dry eye, and I find that the warm compress helps me to fall asleep but do not want to "wash" away or eliminate the effects of the eye drops with the moisture from the warm compress. any thoughts will be appreciated !
Avatar m tn My beloved mixed breed had been on generic cyclosporine (Teva pharmaceuticals) for about one year. It is the only thing that has worked for his allergies. He used to lick until he made sores and he would get frequent ear infections. These symptoms have abated. He has blood work taken regularly-so far no ill effects from this med.. I joined Walgreen's Rx club for $20 annual membership and found the best price-90 caps of 50mg cost about $120.00.
Avatar f tn About 6 months ago, I was finally diagnosed and started taking cyclosporine 100 mg 2x day. After a week, I could eat like a normal person—just about anything I wanted. It was great, it even allowed me to travel to Europe. The cyclosporine I was taking was a powder in a capsule, apparently this has been taken off the market and instead I took the same medication, but it was in the form of a capsule with alcohol. Unfortunately, after a short time, I was right back to before treatment.

Avatar f tn I was referring to Laquinimod. Teva got in trouble with shareholders for saying it was better than it was. Teva planned to double their shares in 5 years. I guess no business plan is full proof. Also PBMs Pharmacy Benefit Manager's play a big part in the U.S.'s drug prices. Medco is one such manager. I was shocked when I went off a DMD and they went to great lengths to keep me on not for my sake but because of lost profits.

Avatar m tn The specialist reviewed all of the options with us - cyclosporine, pilocarpine or tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said that very rarely has she seen any dog respond to cyclosporine after not responding to tacrolimus. She also said that because our dog doesn't have a dry, goopy nose, that pilocarpine wouldn't be a first choice. She recommended a mix of tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said sirolimus is new. I have not been able to find anything about this drug on the internet.

Avatar f tn I have recently started the patch and have found a difference between effectiveness of the two brands TEVA and MYLAN. First I had Teva 12mcg/72hrs (twice) then 2X 12mcg/72 (twice) and then went to 50mcg patches on the 72hr interval, so far twice. The 25mcg patches are Mylan brand and I noticed, pretty quickly, a decrease in effectiveness. Has anyone else? My pharmacy says I can specify... otherwise the script will be filled with Mylan.

Avatar m tn and the vet will probably prescribe cyclosporine drops to help the eye produce more tears. Before you use the cyclosporine drops, be aware that they will sting your dogs eyes, and long term use may contribute to kidney disease...talk this over with your vet. Since your dog is 12 years old, please have annual bloodwork done on him to assess liver and kidney functions...bloodwork should be done on all senior dogs. Best Wishes for you and your dog.....
Avatar f tn Another company has a generic of Copaxone and is fighting in the U.S. courts with Teva. Ironically Teva fights in court to make generics of all the other best selling drugs in the U.S. Teva's marketing is expensive as is the whole Share Solutions organization which is to get and keep as many MS patients on Copaxone and to find out about problems with the drug before the FDA does.
Avatar n tn In an additional 33 patients, glomerular and tubular NEP protein levels from renal graft biopsies were significantly higher among the 13 patients receiving cyclosporine + EC-MPS than among the 12 patients receiving cyclosporine + azathioprine or 8 patients receiving cyclosporine alone. Glomerular NEP expression inversely correlated with glomerulosclerosis and proteinuria, and tubular NEP expression inversely correlated with interstitial fibrosis.

Avatar f tn We immediately put her on an antibiotic ointment and cyclosporine. It has been almost 10 days and while there is less discharge, she is still having some trouble opening her eye, she just keeps it closed (unless she gets excited). At some times you look at her and she looks completely fine, others times she can barely open her eye. Is this normal for KCS? Should we have seen some major improvement by now?
