Avatar m tn Could taking less ursodiol have contributed to my diminishing symptoms. What would be the lest acceptable through cyclosporine level for a patient on mono -therapy four and one half years post transplant with no episodes of rejection? Thank you so very much Dr.
Avatar f tn About 6 months ago, I was finally diagnosed and started taking cyclosporine 100 mg 2x day. After a week, I could eat like a normal person—just about anything I wanted. It was great, it even allowed me to travel to Europe. The cyclosporine I was taking was a powder in a capsule, apparently this has been taken off the market and instead I took the same medication, but it was in the form of a capsule with alcohol. Unfortunately, after a short time, I was right back to before treatment.
Avatar m tn The extent to which they can protect against cyclosporine toxicity is unclear, my guess would be that it is protective in this context as well, as NFKappaB and other inflammatory damage response pathwaus are mitigated.
Avatar f tn Yes I took Cyclosporine for my aquagenic urticaria, it helped so much but not enough to have a normal life :S but maybe for you its going to be different...
388544 tn?1231982494 Based on consistent Class I evidence, pulse cyclophosphamide treatment does not seem to alter the course of progressive MS (Level B recommendation). Based on a single Class III study, it is possible that younger patients with progressive MS might derive some benefit from pulse plus booster cyclophosphamide treatment (Level U recommendation).

Avatar m tn The specialist reviewed all of the options with us - cyclosporine, pilocarpine or tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said that very rarely has she seen any dog respond to cyclosporine after not responding to tacrolimus. She also said that because our dog doesn't have a dry, goopy nose, that pilocarpine wouldn't be a first choice. She recommended a mix of tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said sirolimus is new. I have not been able to find anything about this drug on the internet.

Vascular hyper-tensions are becoming a real concern. ie heart, palpitations . fluid in ears , vision problems that aren't related to my actual eyes, the opthamologist confirmed, Migraines that have actually gotten better lately. kidney function is still adequate. My liver is doing very good especially with hep-c..

Avatar m tn and the vet will probably prescribe cyclosporine drops to help the eye produce more tears. Before you use the cyclosporine drops, be aware that they will sting your dogs eyes, and long term use may contribute to kidney disease...talk this over with your vet. Since your dog is 12 years old, please have annual bloodwork done on him to assess liver and kidney functions...bloodwork should be done on all senior dogs. Best Wishes for you and your dog.....
Avatar f tn Those symptoms also fall under, mercury toxicity, aspartame toxicity, chemical sensitivity, and sensitivity to electro magnetic fields just think these should be mentioned as well
Avatar f tn Lower back! "distinguish the stenosis symptoms from the B6 toxicity symptoms" Vitamin B-6 is needed for maintaining healthy nerves and muscle cells, and aids in the production of DNA and RNA. Too much synthetic pyridoxine, however, can irritate nerves and create symptoms.
Avatar n tn In an additional 33 patients, glomerular and tubular NEP protein levels from renal graft biopsies were significantly higher among the 13 patients receiving cyclosporine + EC-MPS than among the 12 patients receiving cyclosporine + azathioprine or 8 patients receiving cyclosporine alone. Glomerular NEP expression inversely correlated with glomerulosclerosis and proteinuria, and tubular NEP expression inversely correlated with interstitial fibrosis.
Avatar n tn Is it possible that my antimony level, more that twice and a half the normal range, could be causing me toxicity symptoms?
Avatar m tn He explained to me it was an autoimmune disorder and put me on Cyclosporine. I was wondering if I needed any kind of thyroid medicine?
Avatar m tn My B6 test came back 240 which is very high. I am having all of the symptoms related to B6 toxicity. I do not take vitamin supplements and have a healthy diet. What can cause me to have such a high b6 level if I am not taking supplements? My doctor asked me to give him a month to figure it out but I am in pain and want some answers.
Avatar n tn I have not heard of a B-6 toxicity. I have heard of deficiency symptoms, but never the other. How much had you been taking. You see, B-6, along with other B vitamins is water soluble, and your body excretes what it does not need, so, this is very new to me.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed in Nov 2009 with B6 toxicity. I have been off all supplements with B6 since that time except for about one month when I took a supplement containing high levels of B6. However, I am still having a great deal of pain, numbness, burning, headaches, ringing in ear, cracking of joints, fatigue etc. (I was toxic for four years before getting a diagnosis. Just recently I began working with a Dr of homeopathy ( licensed and an MD as well) who is treating my symptoms with Pyrodoxine 30.
Avatar m tn I am currently under St Thomas hospital for this, they are stating I should take Cyclosporine for 6 months, I was wondering if someone on here has taken this treatment and it has worked for them??, I am not convinced on this medication as I have read so many bad things about it. My consultant has stated that 70% of people whilst on cyclosporine will be clear, one third will have total remission, one third will be same as before, one third will be worse once the treatment has stopped.
Avatar f tn does barium toxicity cause a lot of health problems including twitch ,generalized muscle loss, muscle pain, hyperflexibility ,candida, food intolerance how can i make sure that i have food intolerance (i complain of constipation, gases) which occur after barim ingestion
Avatar f tn B6 Toxicity is such a relatively new ailment that there is not enough known about it to say for sure. From what I've read on the B6 Toxicity board on medhelp, many doctors discount their patients' symptoms and tell them "you can't have B6 Toxicity, it doesn't exist, the B6 Vitamin is water soluble" or they tell them "if you had B6 Toxicity, it would have resolved itself by now, you can't still be suffering.
Avatar f tn We immediately put her on an antibiotic ointment and cyclosporine. It has been almost 10 days and while there is less discharge, she is still having some trouble opening her eye, she just keeps it closed (unless she gets excited). At some times you look at her and she looks completely fine, others times she can barely open her eye. Is this normal for KCS? Should we have seen some major improvement by now?
