483757 tn?1208481255 I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. My OB took me off of all of my Fibro meds at the beginning of pregnancy. (Meds were- Neurontin, Cyclobenzaprine, Baclofen, Trazodone, Vit. D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin.
Avatar n tn hi i need help, my sister is 8 months pregnant, is on methadone and was just perscribed promethazine, cyclobenzaprine and zolpidem are these safe drugs to mix with methadone and pregnancy? she did just recently switch doctors for unexplained reasons..

Avatar n tn Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward. Due to the lack of data in subjects with more severe hepatic insufficiency, the use of Cyclobenzaprine HCl in subjects with moderate to severe impairment is not recommended. http://www.drugs.com/pro/cyclobenzaprine.
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar n tn I was terrified of withdrawls but I have also been on Tramadol for the past 12 months as well as Vicodin. Suprisingly with the Tramadol I felt vertually no withdrawls. However as Christos stated Tramadol can be quite addictive and cause siezures. I blacked out and got a concussion a few weeks ago, I was alone so I don't know what happened if it was or was not a siezure so please be careful if you take it. I also am taking a regular routine of Ativan.
Avatar n tn Since it is structurally related and is a pro-drug to meprobamate, it does have abuse potential especially combining it with opiates or other sedatives. Taken alone is makes you feel relaxed, rarely any euphoria, and very drowsy, but in combination with opiates it adds to the euphoria fealt from opiates and sedative sides effects. Taking soma and vicodin make it feel similiar in strnegth to taking oxycodone, which is stronger. It does have some analgesia effects on the body with its use.
Avatar f tn AMRIX has not been found effective in the treatment of spasticity associated with cerebral or spinal cord disease or in children with cerebral palsy. AMRIX is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of its components. AMRIX is contraindicated with concomitant use of monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or within 14 days after their discontinuation. AMRIX may have life-threatening interactions with MAO inhibitors.
Avatar n tn After pulling my back out, I was put on cyclobenzaprine. After 1 week of taking this medication, I woke one morning with numbness and tingling from the mouth down. My primary care physician felt that cyclo could not have caused this sensation; however, I stopped taking cyclo due to my inner voice. After 46 hours the tingling and numbess was gone, i.e... cyclobenzaprines half life is between 18- 48 hrs. After researching this topic, I found MANY individuals with the same symptoms.
2085202 tn?1373199740 Have been on lorazepam and cyclobenzaprine muscle relaxers then have been taking them rather frequently but still following the proper dosage instructions. Started getting respitory depression think I almost died....stopped breathing in sleep...lungs seemed depleted yet constricted...weak in the diaphragm. Went off it now and now feeling what seems almost like heart attack symptoms.
Avatar m tn Do you have a prescription for the Cyclobenzaprine? I would look for it and be ready to share it with your potential employer. Also, I would ask them what they found. Are you sure there isn't something you are leaving out? As long as you have a prescription for it you should be safe. It's illegal for them to discriminate against a legal medication that is prescribed by a doctor.
Avatar m tn However, my doctor said that after the pelvic exam and ultrasound, he did not suspect that I had PID and that a laparoscopy would be more definitive to diagnose it. I am almost done with the antibiotics and my symptoms have improved and I will follow up with him to re test for Chlamydia 10 days after I am finished with the antibiotics.
Avatar f tn So he takes 6-8 10mg/325mg of oxycodone a day, 1-2 10mg of cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) a day, 1-2 ambien at nights and now the dr just added 2 10mg of methadone a day. By night he is slurring his speech, falling asleep. I am so angry about all these pills. He ends up buying oxy off the street because he runs out of his prescription before the time to refill. Is he being overdosed? He is very defensive when I try talking to him about this. That's his addiction.
630344 tn?1280104983 Now if I had to chose between Vicodin and Voltaren for the kind of pain I am in with my facet arthritis- hands down I would chose the Voltaren. And I am not going to take some "Crazy med" for pain that truly exists. That's the last time I will let a doctor put my on psych pills. I spent a whole week on the toilet- no thank you. And when I told her about it, she said she'd never heard of it before. Yeah right. And she had her little med assistants calling Cymbalta pain pills.
Avatar f tn You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.

Avatar m tn Medications called alpha-adrenergic blockers which help relax the muscles of the prostate gland, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pain killers, antibiotic course because the cause may be bacterial, diazepam , methocarbamol or cyclobenzaprine, sitz baths, self-massage of the perianal area, allopurinol ,transurethral microwave thermotherapy and surgical resection of the prostate. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
1653969 tn?1390331661 The instant sleep thing will go away after you establish a routine with it. Wish that I could really help you - but yours isnt a common complaint with flexeril. Do you do any breathing exercises? A couple of minutes of tai chi and meditation and particularly the breathing exercises are very valid therapies.
Avatar f tn As a child, I was in a car accident (car lost control, pinned me against a building). Was left with a significant leg length discrepancy (10cm). 2011, had shortening procedure. Now I have neurological issues...lots. For years, I've had back pain. Over the years, it's gotten worse. I started having burning sensations. Leaving a doctors appointment in 2012, started having cold sensations in my spinal region of my back. On my way home, my feet started feeling cold and wet.
Avatar f tn m now receiving 180 per month along with 90 cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) per month. I also receive 30 meloxicam per month for swelling and pain. Even with all these meds I'm still in pain. My knees, my hips, and my back. Some days I can't bend over to tie my shoes and if I bend over, I can't stand back up straight. I have gone back and forth to my VA doctors, but still no relief. I am so very tired of being in pain. I have been diagnosed with depression, I suffer from PTSD.
Avatar m tn Hello. I'm a 20 years old female dealing with this back pain for almost 3 years now. I've told my doctor my symptoms greatly align with fibromyalgia yet she refuses to give me any sort of diagnosis. She just tells me "it'll probably go away soon, just take it easy." Which is a pathetic answer if she saw what i go through every day. I haven't been in any sort of accident, one day it just came, it hasn't left and just progressed.
