483757 tn?1208481255 My OB took me off of all of my Fibro meds at the beginning of pregnancy. (Meds were- Neurontin, Cyclobenzaprine, Baclofen, Trazodone, Vit. D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin. At every appointment, I tell her that my pain is worsening and unbearable but her only suggestions have been more narcotics and warm water exercise.

917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar n tn Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward. Due to the lack of data in subjects with more severe hepatic insufficiency, the use of Cyclobenzaprine HCl in subjects with moderate to severe impairment is not recommended. http://www.drugs.com/pro/cyclobenzaprine.
Avatar n tn My new doctor prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine for my muscles spams but I take celexa on my regular basis. I remember he told me to be careful in no combining those two. Tonight, I took my celexa around 1am. At 3:55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay?
Avatar n tn I finally gave up my year long Vicodin rollercoaster and flushed my Vicodin 3 weeks ago. I was terrified of withdrawls but I have also been on Tramadol for the past 12 months as well as Vicodin. Suprisingly with the Tramadol I felt vertually no withdrawls. However as Christos stated Tramadol can be quite addictive and cause siezures.
Avatar n tn Taken alone is makes you feel relaxed, rarely any euphoria, and very drowsy, but in combination with opiates it adds to the euphoria fealt from opiates and sedative sides effects. Taking soma and vicodin make it feel similiar in strnegth to taking oxycodone, which is stronger. It does have some analgesia effects on the body with its use.
Avatar n tn I was in a car accident March 20th, 2009. I was put on cyclobenzaprine and naproxen for 3 months by my doctor to treat whiplash from mid back to neck. At that time I had a severe reaction to naproxen and developed severe ankle to hip pain. Then my doctor put me on tramadol with cyclobenzaprine. I was still experiencing shots of pain down my arms About a month later, so my doctor had me get a MRI of my neck.

Avatar m tn Medications called alpha-adrenergic blockers which help relax the muscles of the prostate gland, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pain killers, antibiotic course because the cause may be bacterial, diazepam , methocarbamol or cyclobenzaprine, sitz baths, self-massage of the perianal area, allopurinol ,transurethral microwave thermotherapy and surgical resection of the prostate. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
630344 tn?1280104983 I am also on Effexor, Topamax, Qualaquin, Oxyprozin, Cyclobenzaprine..... I am way over medicated and yet I have no relief of any of my symptoms. It is ridiculous. I have been to a few different doctors over the last several years, too. I wish I could find one that could just make me better. I hate my life the way it is now and I get so depressed thinking of the woman I once was.
Avatar m tn I just remembered that about a year ago I was prescribed some muscle relaxers for my neck (Cyclobenzaprine). Do you guys think that if I take one or two of them when I am having a hard time sleeping from the restless legs s**t that it will help me sleep?
Avatar f tn My neurologist just gave me some samples of Amrix, a time relased form of Cyclobenzaprine Hydrocholoride. He prescribed it for the pain and limited range of motion caused by tight neck muscles that didn't respond to stretching excersises. This is day two and I find it a remarkable improvement. I take it once a day in the evening and it seems the main sleepiness side effect is over while I sleep while the benefits remain the next day.
Avatar m tn Among the drugs you are taking Cymbalta causes memory loss, Pamelor, cyclobenzaprine, nortriptyline, hydrocodone and promethazine cause confusion, Tramadol causes hallucination and together all these drugs can affect your memory. You need a serious revision of your prescription. Please consult your treating doctor. Take care!
Avatar f tn You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.
Avatar f tn Today I still have constant burning sensations and tingling in my back, legs, feet, arms, and hands (now neck too). Sometimes I have numbness. Now taking Gabapentin 3x daily, Ibuprofen 800mg, Cyclobenzaprine 10mg. My primary doc is on vacation and I want her to give me an MRI order for my full spine. I've only gotten an order for only my lumbar spine from another doctor. What could I have.....
Avatar f tn m now receiving 180 per month along with 90 cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) per month. I also receive 30 meloxicam per month for swelling and pain. Even with all these meds I'm still in pain. My knees, my hips, and my back. Some days I can't bend over to tie my shoes and if I bend over, I can't stand back up straight. I have gone back and forth to my VA doctors, but still no relief. I am so very tired of being in pain. I have been diagnosed with depression, I suffer from PTSD.
Avatar f tn They diagnosed me with a cervical sprain and prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine and Tylenol-Codeine as well as applied a muscle relaxant shot and sent me on my way. I started the prescription regimen that day. Two days later, I began to lose hearing in my right ear. It felt as though it was "full" of water or wax or the like. I visited a different clinic (as I was in another city) and they prescribed me a steroid and informed me that my eardrum had filled with fluid.
Avatar f tn Hi julie1224, I'm so glad that your Doctor took the x-rays but I know that you are frustrated that they didn't find an answer to your problems. :( I don't have any information about a "new" patch that is similar to Vicodin that is out. I couldn't find anything when I googled it. You might call your Pharmacist and ask him/her about it as they are up-to-date on every new med that is coming out. Did your doctor tell you what the name of the "new" patch is?
Avatar m tn s a painkiller but it works REALLY well for nerve/neurologically motivated pain. I took Nucynta and Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) for the next couple days and it brought my pain from a 10+ to a 2 on a 10 point pain scale. My muscle has atrophied in that shoulder and I can't lift a glass of water to my lips...but by golly, it doesn't hurt anymore!! ;) Thanks Lyme for my undiagnosable severe chronic pain that has no 'cause' in any doctors' eyes!
Avatar f tn I'm on cyclobenzaprine which is a muscle relaxer. I'm on it to help me sleep though. I have had no issues and my baby has been healthy my whole pregnancy. If your ob says it's okay that means the benefits outweigh the risks. If you think only taking it when needed is best and it works okay for you then I'd do that.
Avatar n tn Sounds like Tramadol is addictive from what I have read.. I am off the Vicodin for 3 days now. My doctor said I could take a Tramadol a day to help with pain. I took one the other day (not everyday). But wow..I asked her if it was addictive because I want to be totally off the Narcotics. She said no It is not addicitve... WHat the heck... Anyway I am dumping the Tramadol..I have come too far to let something else take hold of me. Also I read that Xanex is addictive..bad.
