She admitted me and gave me a strong dose of diazepam intravenously, after about an hour and a half the spasms stopped. 3 different doctors looked at me and none of them had seen it before. Because the spasms stopped they discharged me and just told me to take the diazepam if the spasms started.
I'd been home for a few hours and they started again so I took a 5mg diazepam and went to bed.
Current list of meds Topiramate (topamax) 50mg 1 tablet 2 times daily, Amitriptyline 100mg 1 tablet at bedtime, Cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) 10mg 1 tablet at bedtime, and Butalbital/APAP/Caffeine (fioricet) 1 tablet to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
And my ENT has me on Diazepam 2mg 1 tablet 3 times daily.
I'm wondering if it is the Topamax, or the combination of meds, or the Chiari? I guess I'll have to play phone tag with the NL office today and see what they think.
Muscle relaxants like carisoprodol (Soma), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), and even diazepam (Valium), and clonazepam (Klonipin) are not narcotic agents, although the last two are benzodiazepines.
Ask your doc about dantrolene (Dantrium).
The two most common drugs are, indeed, valium (diazepam) and Klonopin (clonazepam). Xanax and Valium are short-acting and clonazepam is long-acting.
My preference would be for the longer-acting clonazepam. The longer acting benzodiazepines, although still highly addictive, tend to have less ferocious withdrawal syndromes. Xanax (alprazolam) is notorious for it's addictiveness and severe withdrawal symptoms.
Can I take Hydrocodone 10/325, Cyclobenzaprine 10mg, and Tramadol 50mg together safely?
Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward. Due to the lack of data in subjects with more severe hepatic insufficiency, the use of Cyclobenzaprine HCl in subjects with moderate to severe impairment is not recommended.

My new doctor prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine for my muscles spams but I take celexa on my regular basis. I remember he told me to be careful in no combining those two. Tonight, I took my celexa around 1am. At 3:55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay?
I have been on 2 mg diazepam at night for just over a month now. I got them from abroad and my doctor does not know I am on them. I also take Venlafaxine 75 mg morning and 37.5 mg at night. My question is how do I wean off the diazepam. My tablets cannot be separated as they are in capsule form. I really want to stop them but cannot visit my doctor. Could I just stop taking them? Or take them every other night for a week and then stop? Your advice would be valuable.
Why can't I take large doses of diazepam regularly and continuously for anxiety management? No website, text book or doctor could or would approve this. I understand the drug is addictive, and the dosage would need to rise to achieve the same effect but eventually this would level out.
Hi all, I was commenced on xanax 12 mths ago for panic attacks. My GP (and to be honest me) felt we needed to keep increasing the dose. Within 3 mths I was on 6mg per day (in 3 divided doses). It almost cost me my marriage, job, home and friends. I found a new GP, whom recognised what was happening (i.e. I was addicted to xanax and loving it but a voice in the back of my head told me things were not right - hence finding another GP).
