contractions irregular

i had irregular contractions with my first..there was no pattern at all..but it got more and more painful (until i was making a hell of a lot of noise lol) was 10cms when i got to hospital..it was almost too late..just incase go off the pain intensity..

I've been having irregular contractions since yesterday. They hurt so bad I could cry but I can't time them. I don't know what to do or what this means.

Because I have brown discharge the Dr said my contractions are doing the work needed to dilate. If u have the pain like really bad poo pains and you drink water and change position and it still hurts then its the start. I'm sure it will get worse before she is born. I have also done lots of soft bowl movement since it started. Think my body is getting ready. I have a contraction counting app on my phone.

I'm havig irregular contractions but when I have them they're SOOO bad. Some of them are really long, too. Even between the contractions I'm in constant pain. I'm not sure at what point I should call my midwife.

Try drinking some water and change the position your in, if they dont subside then i would start timing them.... and see if they are regular bh tend to b irregular.....

its a really difficult situation because i have learned that you can have irregular contractions that do nothing and irregular contractions that do things.. and to me they have felt thesame way.... If they start to pick up starting timing them and recording it so you can see if there is any pattern.. If you have contractions with cramping (even if only brief like in my case) go to the l&d or your OB to be on the safe side..

If i am having irregular contractions is it possible to further naturally induce labor? I am almost 38 weeks. I have contractions everyday but they go away after a few hours. Is there anything I could do to facilitate active labor?

im a ftm & never experienced any of this before..how do you know when your havin contractions? the doctors said I should be feeling them by now being 33 weeks but don't know how they feel.we are expecting baby Jason sooner then 37 by the way the doctors talk..

contractions are very painfull u said they were nt painful and u stl being that early its usually around the weeks braxtion hicks kick in as they r nt painful and irregular they come and go.. have u have a previous early labor or is ths ur 1st??usually w 1st it is hard to understand the diffrence w real contractions and bh..

Could be. Watch them....if you drink a cold big glass of water and lay on your side, do they go away? If so it's braxton hicks. Dry drinking water anyway due to dehydration is one of the main causes of Co Tra tons to start. If you still have more than 6 in an hour, go in and have them check you out.

Hi frnds, i m 34+2 and having some painful contractions. They r irregular but isnt it pretty early to hav painful contractions.

There are active contractions and braxton hicks contractions. BH feels like your stomach is a bowling ball. Hard and tight. Active contractions are low into your pelvic, hips and backs. Almost like a period cramp. If you have more than 6 an hour of either you need to call your OB. Hope this helps!

So I've been having alight contractions today as well as yesterday . the thing is they're so irregular . for a good two hours I can keep track and count them but them it seems like they kind of just fade away and then come back again and are able to be counted . sometimes they're painful in my lower back and feel like menstrual cramps but sometimes they're not as bad but I feel like my whole uterus is tightening up ?

Also irregular. I guess my question is, should I just stay home since I can handle the pain? Sometimes I get 7 in an hour, other times 2 or so in an hour. Advice?
