I do construction and currently 10 weeks and have done it since day 1. My question is, is it ok to be doing the heavy lifting, going up and down ladders all day. Power tools and all... ??
t be wearing the store bought reading glasses anymore! the Safety Glasses are the same glasses I will be wearing for work and after work, having the safety-guards that are removable!! just had this question to ask you, since I couldn't get an answer from my eye doctor, he was really busy with other people for their eyes to be checked, I hope you can answer this for me!! I have to wear safety glasses with side shields at work, how does this affect your vision? I am an inspector, therefore, I need to see clearly at all times,is this noticeable to everyone looking at you? Is it possible for me to ever wear these during workhours and how do prisms help fix double vision?
s because I had 2 accidents in the past 3 years--one where a speeding car in the middle of the day T-boned me, one where I scraped the car along a railing in a construction area (might have dozed off?), and one where I caught someone's bumper when doing a U-turn--he came out of nowhere. I also have had a couple of close calls while a passenger: scary!
Pus means there is an infection, and at this point I would see your doctor. You may have something embedded in your knee that you know nothing about, and until that is removed it will stay infected. A friend of mine woke up with extreme pain on one side of his stomach and when he went to the hospital they found a piece of metal embedded in his stomach. He was in construction years prior to this and still doesn't recall any incident where this could have happened.

My daughter is in Tae Kwon Do. She has sparred a few times. We don't spar anymore since another kid beaned her on the left side. She became scared and didn't want to do this sport anymore.

The brain is remarkably plastic and able to adjust, especially in a young patient. Even though you had LASIK, I would strongly recommend safety glasses (polycarbonate lenses) to protect your eyes. You should have periodic dilated retinal exams to monitor your eyes. It seems that you have fairly good vision in your left eye, which will serve you well if something happens to the right eye. Many people function very well throughout life with one eye.
at work when having to wear 'safety' glasses for 8 hrs a day even now with optician safety glasses ie not plastic i suffer badly from blurred vision stabbing red hot needle pain behind left eye, this can develop into full blown headache and dizziness. after work driving home my vision is still slightly blurry similiar to a welders 'flash.
If you are required to be exposed to bleach for your job or while cleaning at home, PLEASE get a pair of safety glasses (clear plastic goggles) that will protect the surface of your eye from dangerous chemicals.
Since you have had at least three different bleach/eyeball exposure incidents in less than two months, the odds are that your luck is going to RUN OUT someday soon.

"Does this really work?"
It entirely depends on what you mean by "work." If you mean "permanently eliminate your need for glasses", then no. It doesn't work. Corneal molding, or ortho-k, is not permanent. If you mean "give you clear vision without daytime glasses or contacts", then maybe, depending on your prescription and motivation. There are some patients who are not candidates for LASIK that are candidates for Corneal Molding.
I will need cataract surgery on both eyes soon. Is it to my advantage to choose "TECNIS" multifocal iol lenses, or just have the surgery and wear glasses. I am cocerned that I will not adapt to the implanted lenses and I will need glasses anyway. How successful are these iol lenses?

If glasses would make your good eye see better certainly. If your good eye doesn't need glasses to see better many ophthalmologists believe you should wear glasses to protect the good eye from inadvertent injury there would be no RX in the glasses and the frames would be solid (not flimsy) and the lens impact resistant plastic.
Okay so my boyfriend is in school right now for construction and said he wants to build her crib himself... I really dont know what to think of it. I trust him i know that he could do it but idk if that would exactly be the best option.. What do you ladies think? Would you let him do it or go out and just buy one from the store?
He does construction work so reading glasses would be a pain as he would have to take them off and on all the time. That is why he decided on the zoom lens.
We have never talked to anyone who has had them so I would like to hear about others experences.
