Avatar n tn My own doctor said that if I had no symptoms, 10 years was enough before my next colonoscopy and they might have virtual colonoscopy by then. Well, unfortunately I had some symptoms and virtual colonoscopy isn't here yet. Funny, I fantasized the exact same thing that you did --that the doctor should be strapped down and have it done to him. I reported him to the head of the small HMO I'm in. Met with the director face-to-face.
92903 tn?1309908311 Oh too funny, but there is truth to all that you know:} Do an 'enema party'?? Good job, exaclty 3:45 min.'s. WHERE do you guys come up with all these things??
Avatar n tn When you wake up you will only remember it like it was a dream. The funny part of twilight is if you were video taped you might even talk to the Dr just before and after they are done looking totally awake. The only thing I was told about eating and drinking afterwards is nothing hot and wait about a half hour. The worst part about this is the taste of the spray in your throat. I have had 4 and 2 ERCP's no big deal. Once you have it done you will kick yourself for being scared.
3211536 tn?1359389169 I get to help them be born and dry them and watch them stand for the first time and find Mom's teat. They are so funny, looking for that teat.I will video it to share with you all. On the wind I send you all big hugs.Go run outside to catch it.
Avatar n tn Actually, I just got home tonight to find the doc sent me this video of my recent bung exploration. BTW, I'm now looking for a new doctor if you hear of once taking patients......
Avatar n tn -) Besides, think about what happens during a colonoscopy. You have this really fun prep the night before so that the doctor will be able to see the intestinal walls. By the time you show up at the hospital that morning, you are literally squeaky clean and all pink inside... but you sure aren't 25 pounds lighter, lol. Here's some info about it: http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/060808_bad_colon.html (btw, do you know about Kellogg?
Avatar n tn Like goof said upper gi is a piece of cake, I had the other test execpt for the colonoscopy but being a stage 4 like me these test should have long been done. If he thought you knew all this id ask him why wasn't the upper gi (the main one for cirrhosis) and the ultrasound or ctscan done either before at the start of tx.?
92903 tn?1309908311 just because: A physician claims these are actual comments from his patients made while he was performing colonoscopies: 1. "Take it easy, Doc, you're boldly going where no man has gone before." 2. "Find Amelia Earhart yet?" 3. "Can you hear me NOW?" 4. "Oh boy, that was sphincterrific!" 5. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" 6. "You know, in Arkansas, we're now legally married." 7.
Avatar n tn Thanks for replying but The funny thing is I dont have no rash no bumps nothing at all on my bum the only thing that shows up is redness and thats only when I move around for awile cuz when I wake up im fully heald but as soon as i take a shower its back hmm maybe my butt is alergic to water or sumthin, and yes its at its worst when it gets moist but its always going to be like that cuz my *** dont breath!
Avatar f tn I have been to so many specialists and done so many tests with everything showing normal. Not sure whether a test was done for Celiac but I did do endoscopies and a Colonoscopy two years ago. I am now seeing a BioSet Practitioner(a few weeks now) who is trying to peel away all of my allergies to food but in the meantime I am still feeling that near syncope on a daily basis. My near syncope started 12 years ago immediately after surgery while still in the hospital.
Avatar n tn (she said the same thing - that I will not die of liver disease---- then gave me the pitch about the colonoscopy ---- what's with these guys?) Southwest has some cheap flights to Dallas, and after a $25 cab fare to the hospital, I talked to locals and found my way back to the airpost on the bus system (for $2.25). I am an old city rat anyway -- I may have lived the last 20+ years in a town without a bus system, but I wasn't raised that way.
217229 tn?1192766004 My forum name reminds me everytime I start to feel sorry for myself that I've put myself in this position. If I got this hep c from getting a colonoscopy a few years ago and was able to somehow find out, I'll change my name, but until that I blame myself. Man oh man, I hope you get some happy cheery answers after this one. LOL Maybe you can ask Cindy to delete this depressing post I just typed. Sorry Meki if I made you sad, cheer up, its not you,,, it's "Myown" fault. ha!
Avatar f tn In February of 2010 things started to get worse for me. I got really dizzy for about 2 months straight… felt really funny… the floor even felt like it was moving when I walked. I went to the hospital a couple of times and they said it was Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and Allergies. I ended up going to a Chiropractor who adjusted my neck. I know that didn’t help immediately but the constant dizziness finally went away, however I all of a sudden started developing a huge number of floaters.
Avatar f tn He/she will also recommend that if you take vitamins with extra iron, to discontinue the iron. They often recommend a colonoscopy every three years as well. Exercise. Fresh fruits and vegetables. That's all I can think of at the moment. No recreational drugs/alcohol.
Avatar n tn My hubby is a retired musician, now working at something completely different. It's funny how many people have some kind of musical involvement here. We are transplants from the northeast and since marrying have moved to 10 different addresses in 4 different states in a 21 year period before finally settling here. I don't ever want to move again, but if I do, I think I'd want to move closer to the great hospital that just recently got me through the ovarian cyst ordeal in Nashville.
475555 tn?1469307939 I wonder if IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), or whatever I've got, is going to keep me off the trials. When they do the colonoscopy, they'll probably find all sorts of ghastly stuff in wrong with my kidneys and pancreas (I already found out I have gall stones and a chyst in one kidney), and then I won't be able to take combination therapy either. Probably when I go in for the general anesthetic prep on April 30th, they'll tell me I can't take g.a. for some reason.
Avatar m tn OKAY THIS IS HIS PROFESSIONAL OPINION. I’m not a doctor. I had him set up a COLONOSCOPY and a BIOPSY. I had the colonoscopy at his office and a week later I had at the hospital behind his office the BIOPSY OF THE LIVER. The other day I went in for the result and it was STAGE FOUR CIRROSIS with no cancer. He told me because I never have been treated that I would be a prime candidate for an upcoming study at the UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI.
Avatar f tn i did ok the first 15 minutes of being upright on the table other than i could feel my hands and feet puffing up and feeling funny and i really wanted to move around and adjust them. it wasnt until they gave me the stuff in the iv that things went crazy. looking back it makes sense to me that when my heart rate raises (walking/exercising/going up stairs) i feel lightheaded and woozy and then if i go sit/lay down and it seems to subside.
907672 tn?1381029323 Hi Ian, Yes, lymphoma can be found in the liver. Funny that you ask me about this because I too have a spot on my liver that is questionably lymphoma (depending on which doctor you talk to). My original oncologist thought it was lymphoma because it seemed to shrink somewhat during chemotherapy. My new oncologist doesn't think it's lymphoma and says he thinks it's a cyst.
Avatar m tn If you go the colonoscopy route, the stuff they have you drink in preparation cleans you would very well. Then you will see the MD who will sedate you mildly and with laproscopic light and a flow of air to open your colon so he/she can see the whole thing, he/she will be able to see if there is a polyp or other obstruction that he will remove right then. When the exam is over, the problem most likely will be solved.
Avatar n tn I have had similar test i.e. blood test CT scans, abdominal sonar tests, colonoscopy, gastroscopy and although I was diagnosed with diagnose IBS two years ago they cannot find anything else abnormal. My next step is a MR spinal scan. I will let you know if I find a explantion for this strange condition and will appreciate if you can do the same.
Avatar f tn I will say Mitzie, you sure talk funny. :-) OK, check this out. I've posted this same response for other threads about gas, flatulence, farting, whatever... I don't know if any of you have solved your flatulence problems yet. I suffered with embarrassing, almost 'constant' flatulence for a couple years, probably more, before I recently found something that has helped tremendously, at least it seems to have brought it well under control. Yes, I have gas but it's nothing like it was.
Avatar n tn At first I thought it was my liver because it got worse when I drank, so I got a PET scan of my liver and spleen and got blood tests and everything was normal. I also got a endoscopy and colonoscopy because I was constipated for 2 weeks and that was all normal except for chronic gastritis. My uncle is a nurse and said that the pain sounds like it could be my gallbladder, so I had a ultrasound on my gallbladder, pancreas and right kidney 2 days ago and they said everything is normal there too.
Avatar f tn http://www.powaychiro.com I don't have enough room to post the entire transcript. To read the full transcript see my journal entry below: http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/182243/Hashi-patients--Are-you-TH1-or-TH2-dominant :) Tamra "An autoimmune condition occurs when one branch of the immune system over dominates another branch. 92903 tn?1309908311 to be a drama queen about it...it's in so many things it ain't funny, and nothing gets your glucose up like that stuff...
Avatar n tn also dont know if this would help you all, but we actually had to make a video of Julians attacks, they ALWAYS happened when no specialist was around. Our dr went on to show them at a conference on FMF and related illnesses since no one has actually seen a full blown attack from start to finish. We even followed him into the bathroom and got the throwing up, gross as it was, we just wanted accuracy. I think it was a big help in diagnosing him.
Avatar n tn like 6 to 7 times a day did have sever stomach pain for awhile and went to emergency room for it one day because of the pain they did colonoscopy and only said they found lots of gas and hemmorroids. I still seem to have to have bowel mvts. alot although not usually as much as I did in beginning but still atleast 3-4 times a day. stool is flat and will at times have mucus in it. sometimes loose and sometimes not but probly more loose than anything but almost always flat.
Avatar m tn The hiding away from people because of my gas is hard, sometimes i feel like it doesnt help but just worsens it because then i have less human interactiong, but i really dont want people to see me like this, its like my life has been one constant stress since i got this and i beleive its going to make me die young, Stress is no good for the body and thats all i know anymore is stress and pain, because i dont ever feel happy or excited about anything because i know my stomach is going to act up
