Avatar f tn Is there a reason why more people will not do the colon hydrotherapy detox? Wouldn't this make more people healthier?
Avatar m tn I also had a few lymphathic drainage massages, and a colon hydrotherapy done which took away the swollen nodes under my arms, and reduced the swelling of the ones on my neck area. Before I went for the massages and the colon hydrotherapy, I experienced chronic fatigue, and after I did these procedures, my fatigue went away, and I have more energy now. The colon cleanse showed I had pin worms.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried colon hydrotherapy ? I’ve done 3 treatments back to back already and it has decreased the symptoms but I don’t think it’s permanent. I started the treatment 3 days ago. It’s a machine that cleans out your colon for 45 min. It’s a good way to detox. I noticed after the first treatment I had less cravings for sugar. I pretty much forgot to eat for a whole day after the first treatment bc for some reason I didn’t feel hungry (I don’t recommend not eating).
Avatar n tn please see a urogynecologist...you most likely have pelvic organ prolapse! I developed this after my hysterectomy and also look into pelvic floor dysfunction...I understand your misery as I have been living since 2005...went from laxatives, to mag citrate to enemas to colon hydrotherapy...dr's saying I was addicted to the above methods...after a 6.5 hour surgery correcting my anatomy I went from the above methods to going 4-8 times a day...
Avatar f tn My GI doc thinks it is from the IBS and That I have sensitivity still in the colon. He has put me on Bentyl and fiber. I have also seen a colon-rectal surgeon and she agrees with him. Any other ideas?

Avatar f tn considering that u r asking about IBS, its called spastic colon too, its a disorder with people who have anxiety , that affects the colon movements usually and make problems in digestion, u could have bloating and pain, usually refered to ur mood status and anxiety or even obsession.
Avatar f tn Is it true that it is normal to have them. I saw that you can do a colon cleanse to get rid of them, but if we need them, should I do a cleanse. Also I have IBS so I don't know if a cleanse would be a good idea.
Avatar m tn About a week ago I posted a question about colon hydrotherapy but I received no response. I had this treatment done and since then I have gone more than usual. I am scheduled for another treatment but I would like to know if this is accepted by the medical field as a safe and effective method of colon cleansing. Or some comments from others who have been through this before. Please respond.
Avatar m tn The pain and the bowel symptoms could be due to IBS. But IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, i.e. once all other diseases of the colon like colitis, infections, tumors etc. have been ruled out, then the diagnosis of IBS is made. Please consult your doctor, who may ask for blood tests and sometimes a colonoscopy to rule out these conditions. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn if your intestines and bowels are still weak, i recommend colon hydrotherapy. it helps. if you know of anyone with a bi-resonnance machin it helps. this is sent from a person who was terribly sick and has started coming back to life. take care buddy.
Avatar f tn On the other hand, colonoscopy evaluates only rectum, sigmoid colon, descending colon, transverse colon, ascending colon, and terminal ileum (very end of small bowel).
Avatar m tn ve been reading about colon cancer recently and have gotten myself freaked out. I was wondering if this sounded like colon cancer to anyone. If not, what else could it be? Is IBS a possibility? I'm going to get it checked out.
473493 tn?1236836912 I also followed up with doing colon hydrotherapy to cleanse my system so that I could go to the bathroom regularly. After the session, I lost a whopping 7lbs! Now this is not typical, I just had a lot of gunk in my colon that needed to come out. I also used a natural appetite suppressant that helped curb my appetite. It worked wonders for me and it could help with your problem as well.
Avatar f tn Many of the symptoms, like the spasms in the colon and the bouts of BM that aren't normal sound like IBS, but I would ask a doctor to explain what they're talking about with the "'smooth muscle spasms' in the diaphragm'".
Avatar f tn any way of getting rid of IBS forever? I have had it for years with constipation. I am looking for a fool proof natural herb medication & diet to correct this.
Avatar m tn Anything that gets the colon working can cause colon pains, and cramping. When the colon is active is when most people with IBS find issues with pain, cramping, urgency, etc. Thats why early mornings are troublesome for IBS sufferers. The colon wakes up when you do and starts to go to work. When you do a cleanse like that, you are having your colon work doubletime, therefore it could cause it to start creating pain, cramps or spasms.
Avatar n tn I recently had a colonoscopy and my GI said the results came back normal. However, the pathology report states: Right colon: "mild nonspecific chronic inflammation and mild submucosal edema; no active inflammation or significant chronic architectural changes." Rectal colon: "mild nonspecific chronic inflammation; no active inflammation or significant chronic architectural changes." Inflammation and edema don't sound "normal" to me...
Avatar n tn t agree, I have had a few of them before that one since I always suffered from IBS only w/diarreah. Any ideas on this?
Avatar f tn re describing happen to me quite a bit, since this is where the descending colon is located. People with IBS get this pain often. And, IBS is often irritated by food sensitivities and allergies. Also, when I am arround the smell of coffee, like the coffee houses or the coffee aisle in a grocery store, I will often start sneezing. I don't drink coffee, but I used to, until I figured out that it bothers my colon as well as my sinuses.
Avatar f tn It is a small enteric coated pill and will help with upper or lower gas. IBS (I prefer Spastic Colon instead of IBS for the name, because I can feel my insides spasming and twisting) it's a terrible disease causing so much pain and grief. Most times I feel like I have no life. It was not so bad when I was a younger woman, started getting worse in my mid forties, then got better after a few months, until I started taking PPI drugs.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with a tortuous colon about a month ago. I have been suffering with bloating, abdominal pain, gas, stomach aces, and constipation for about 4 years. I have been to 2 different GI doctors and my recent one is the one that diagnosed me. My question is does anyone have a solution for the pain? I can deal with the bloating but the stomach pains are becoming unbearable. My doctor prescribed me some medication but it was not covered by my insurance.
Avatar f tn Also, having worse symptoms at day than night is very typical of IBS. The colon is active when you are awake and sleeps at night when you do. So an active colon will cause more symptoms than a sleepy colon!
Avatar n tn I have no history of colon cancer in my family, though I had a benign polyp removed about 4 yrs ago. I am diagnosed with IBS. I have no weight loss (other way around) but have been very stressed past couple of years. My toilet habits have not changed, I have had no fever. My stool looks normal shape and color (other than mucus and blood). I ma due for an endoscopy and colonscopy soon. But I want to know; is this most likely cancer?
Avatar f tn I fit the symptoms of IBS, but wonder how you can tell the difference between IBS and colon cancer since the symptoms are so similar? I am a 47 year old female with no significant health problems other than these ongoing GI issues which have been going on for about three months. It seemed to start after a bad stomach bug that I had that never truly went away.
Avatar m tn Most people with appendicitis have severe pain worse than what we usually get with IBS. Although, as you must know by now, you can get severe enough pain from IBS to even keep you from being able to walk. You can get IBS pain anywhere in the abdomen, and the left side where the descending colon is, is typically the most common area of pain. I have had the pain in the area you are talking about. Two things can be going on that are more likely, if the doctor is sure it's not the appendix.
Avatar n tn Im a 22 year old woman and for the past few weeks, i have had a horrible scare about colon cancer. I've had very irregular bowl movements. One day I may be constipated and another i may have diarrhea. I sometimes have a pain in my anus. For instance, when i squeeze my buttchecks together, i feel a sharp pain. The pain doesn't necessarly hurt, but is more like a pinch like feeling.
