He posts infrequently, so I am always glad to see a new post from him, and there is one today on the ever-spreading ticks and the burden on the mammals who host them.
I am on day 7 of being off hydrocodone and Now I really want off Alcohol. I work as a VP at a bank and I want my life clean again. Hydro withdrawls are horrible for 7-10 days. But, after ready about Alcohol detox everyone says to go to a Dr. , Out-patient or Hospital becasue the DT's are life threatening. Its a matter of finding out what is the right medication and an informed psychopharmocologist or mood disorders specialist might be able to help more. Certainly a psychiatrist would know more than a standard medical doctor. Natural remedies are an unknown quantity.

Do you get oral cold sores? If so then you have antibodies that make it highly unlikely to obtain a genital infection.
Coughing is not really a sign of the HSV virus so this would be more likely a more general cold or flu like infection. The fever symptoms would have a genital area centricity to them such as aches in the lower back and groin, lymph nodes sore in the groin area etc.
The sore is only thing of some concern and best to have that seen to by a medical professional.

I want to go cold turkey from klonopin 3mg/day, 4 months. I tried tapering and was in withdrawal the whole time. Has anyone gone cold turkey and have advice to get through. I feel like I would rather bite the bullet than spread it out over time.
So this morning I woke up with a very large cold sore on my top lip near the corner of my mouth. I've never in my life had a cold sore before and am wondering if being pregnant has something to do with this? I am 27 weeks & 2 days pregnant. Please help me I'm freaking out!!!!!
I am on day 11, of a 35ml a day cold turkey withdrawl from methadone , and speeking from firsthand understanding of opiate detox, i have quit a 1 to 2.5gram aday herion habit and a 80 to 120mg a day dilaudid habit. and methadone is by far the hardest thing i have ever atempted to quit. now to the point, iwas hoping someone could give me a rough idea or timeline as to when ican exspect to start feeling better. i know thats a very openended question but this draging on much longer then exspected.
