Please ask your doctor about clonidine. It is an old blood pressure medication that is used for menopausal symptoms. I was on hormones, high dosage, for years, and when I went off, I felt like I could self-combust. My doctor is from Canada and they use clonidine all the time. it has been a life-saver for me.
I am taking clonidine for my Subutex withdrawal. It has definetly helped with the anxious creepy crawly feeling. It also helped with hot flashes.
I wasn't given any info on not to mix it with pain meds, but you may want to call you doctor to find out. Or even a pharmacist might be able to tell.

1mg at 10am, 4 pm since i started and trazodone 100mg at night for sleep... anyone have experience with these? ive heard clonidine if you just stop taking it it can spike your blood pressure... and trazodone is addictive? i dunno.... anyway any comments would help.. i was gonna start today by reducing the trazodone in half and tomorrow cut back to just one clonidine a day for 3 more days... sound alright?
with the clonidine watch your blood preesure not to low, and it is also great for the ugly creepy crawlys rls, its also used for adhd,migraines,pain full menstruation, flushing due to menopause,diarrha,opiates& methadone detoxification, withdrawal from alcohol and benzodiazepines such as valium. be sure if you decided to use the trazadone or seraquil these 2 will entisify the clonidine & zanax its like a double wammy if you want to sleep this is the way to go!
Is the flushing in cushings similar to the flushing in menopause? My docs have told me my flushing was menopause. Some people have even commented that I look like I just got back from a trip. For me this flushing comes and goes and I've been trying to figure out what my triggers are. I know it's not heat.
i know that water will flush ya kidneys,and in turn more toxinx will enter kidneys, more flushing and so forth...so yes it will help to consume large amounts of water. i used to pass a drug test with water alone, never noticed ne diarhea. now if the water will help with the runs im unsure? but if thats the problem use some immodium..
I went to see my doc and he wants me to continue taking the conidine and ativan but to reduce the clonidine to .1 for two days, then 05 for a day then stop it. He advised just to take the avtivan at night until I can fall alseep on my own. He also gave me some roxicet and told me to take 3 today, 2 tomorrow and one the next day. He claims this will help me with cravings until I get into rehab where I can get something tradition for the craving...I start rehab on Monday and it lasts 5 weeks.....

They can last for days, or just an hour, but it is causing me a lot of problems because they can occur at anytime. When the bp spikes happen at night, I wake up shaking. I cannot take beta blockers because they make my bp go even higher. I am taking clonidine when I have these spikes. I am unable to take any other blood pressure medicine because at times my blood pressure is normal and bp meds will make it go too low.
hi.....i have never used clonidine but it's suppose to be for high BP and also can be used for anxiety from what i've read. I am on a diff med for high BP. Good luck and hope it works for you! i've read that it helps alot of people calm down thru WDs.
