hI, my son now 15 underwent treatment and a bone marrow transplant for Neouroblastoma at the age of four. He's been on growth hormone treatment for 3 years now but with no result. He's only 144cm tall and his endocrinologist says there's no hope because his bones have finished growing and the only suggestion is the bone stretching surgery. Can anyone suggest anything else?

It sounds to me that at the very least you have a strong case for the need for him to be tested. Lack of stamina (often called reduced exercise tolerance-same general idea) is the hallmark symptom of growth hormone deficiency and your son's lack of growth at a time when he should be growing rapidly sounds suspicious.

I hate to tell you but I too was taking HCG back in November and also found a hard lump afterwards. my son is 15 and is currenly on a course of hcg injections (for growth and puberty) he has dravets syndrome , which is a very rare and very complicated form of epilepsy, so i would imagine (as long as your doctor is fully aware of all your history and medical needs) that hgh will be fine for you. you would be best to go back to your gp and discuss your concerns with him on this issue, even if just to reasure yourself. i have no knowledge on the l glutamine or magnesium im afraid .
