I do believe that my digestion has been sped up, and I believe the Erythromycin sped up the Percocet in my body and essentially made it as if I overdosed. I tried talking to a pharmacist about this, but she said the Percocet would have stayed in my body for a longer period of time, not run through it faster. I don't believe this is the case, though, because after an hour and a half all of my pain was back again. My heart calmed, I stopped shaking, and I was in pain.

I have googled Clindamycin and found that there is a link between torsades and Clindamycin. Is this drug in the same family as Erythromycin? Should I be safe and stop taking it. I have been taking it for 4 days and have 1 day left. My infection, which wasn't very bad to start with, is now gone. I have been having an increase of bradycardia and PVCs and I am a bit concerned. I went to my GP who then prescribed me clindamycin on top of the erythromycin and codeine for pain. When I was only taking erythromycin, my stomach was hardly upset, if at all. Treatment is by topical antibiotics and steroids. Local antibiotics of erythromycin and Clindamycin group also help. Retenoid group of drugs also help. Wear loose fitting clothes. Get your diabetes status checked as high blood sugar can also cause recurrent boils. Consult a skin specialist. Also get a cxomplete STD panel done. Take care!

I have read about cipro an erythromycin being dangerous for those with a heart arrythmia but I have found much information about the lInk in clindamycin and heart problems. I have read that clindamycin is a commom drug prescribed to ppl before dental work to prevent endocarditis in those with heart problems, so why would they prescribe it to someone with heart problems if it is bad?? I dont take anything for my pvcs nor are they very bad.

Go back to the dentist asap, it could be a dry socket!!!!! Antibiotics are great but they won't help with a dry socket. A dry socket is simply when a tooth is pulled a blood clot forms, if the clot falls out too soon a dry socket can occur and then the site becomes extremely painful! Hope this helps. If it's a dry socket, they will usually pack the site with Eugenol, a clove based medication.

I just remember reading that there was an interaction between opiates and erythromycin that affected absorption of one (or the other). It was when I had to undergo a round of antibiotics myself, a few months back.I was told to watch for extra dowsiness or changes in how I felt from my meds. It ended up not affecting me and I was able to take the full course of antibiotics without any probs. But we are all different critters and Luv2, you are new to Fentanyl.

If infection persists after 3-5 days of amoxicillin administration, switching to other antibiotics , such as clindamycin or erythromycin is advised.

In the mean time, if augmentin and clindamycin are not effective, I would try erythromycin family drug, such as azithromycin or clarithromycin , paired with metronidazole(flagyl). If itis possible, antibiotic sensitivity test can be done in the lab to determine which antibiotic is most effective for the cultured bacteria. Hope this helps.

I have taken Erythromycin 2x, Clindamycin 3x and Biaxin. Nothing will cure the infection. I have seen 5 dentists and 2 endodontists and no one knows what to do for me. They essentially tell me I have an infection, presecribe some medication and push me out the door. I am at a loss as to what to do, but I can no longer continue with this pain. It has gotten to the point where somedays I just don't want to be alive anymmore. Please tell me what to do!
