I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I also felt very anxious. I never experienced this before. Boy it was scary.
I tried Singulair but the side effects are bad. I am currently trying Claritin but these solutions do not seem to work.
Anybody else have this issue or suggestions that will make this go away. To compound things I live at 5200 ft elevation so the oxygen level is even lower than sea level. I have another big race in October and would prefer to not cough the entire time.
Thank you much for responding to my post, well I consume 120ml bottle of cough syrup in about 3 days, and yes I do want to quit both but do not see how is it possible......about any effects that I feel, i do not feel any side effects as of yet, but i know both these things are silent killers and must be doing something wrong in me somewhere...

But the dosage you were likely prescibed is two teaspoons which is 10 ml so you have 25 doses which should last you a week. so it is like drinking less than one ounce of beer a day for a week.

I dont know which symptoms are what anymore! Well, tussionex is part hydrocodone which is a semi-synthetic opioid and part chlorpheniramine which is a type of antihistamine. So some people can be more sensitive to the hydrocodone (vicadin) part of the cough syrup. It is a fairly addictive drug and some people have genetics (an enzyme called cpy 2d6) that increases the duration the hydrocodone is elevated in their blood. This leads to exaggerated effects or feeling of euphora and other symptoms.
It would be possible that you had an allergic reaction, but I am thinking it was more just the normal side effects of codeine. It would really depend on what you mean by "felt very sick".

Salaam. You can take SILLIVER(Silymarin 200mg) Abbott company ( one tablet twice a day). It is natural herb which can reduce your LFTs especially your SGPT and you should also take a Levijon Syrup ( two tablespoonfull twice a day). it would also help in reducing your sgpt.. and one thing more these medicines don't have harmful side effects, you can use them with ease... m will be starting clomid in about a week and was just wondering if there are any bad side effects or anything like that and how many times you have to go in and get blood labs and check-ups done? just a little worried about starting this step... any help or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!!!
