1145691 tn?1291478338 Hey, IDK about in the states, but if anyone is from Canada, the Nestle Baby website is giving away a free babybag that comes with a changing pad, a sample pack for some goodstart formula, coupons and a magazine. All you have to do is sign up. A friend of mine brought over her niece today and showed me the bag.
Avatar f tn Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Avatar m tn He may have me get a CT scan for further exploration of the problem. In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings. I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals. Again, thank you for your input, Dr. Rajput.
Avatar n tn Very similar but slightly different is Clarinex. Clarinex might slow down mucus if from allergy. You can also try a nebulizer with Sodium Cromolyn soultion. Works in 5 minutes but doesn't last more than a couple of hours. It will slow down the mucus cells that react to allergy. My allergy is pretty bad from pollens including foods that I eat. But when I go out for exercise I wear a paper mask over my mouth. With a mask I can walk a 12 minute 1/4 mile.
Avatar m tn I'm real confused about allergy symptoms & treatments, I've done alot of research on the internet, but never find what I'm really looking for. Common allergy symptoms are: sneezing, runny nose, itching, watery eyes, hives, rashes. But I never had these symptoms. My symptoms are, stuffy nose, swollen throat, excess mucus production, tight chest occassional difficulty breathing. I do not have Asthma, I am a smoker, had 3 PFT's return normal, breathing at 97%.
Avatar m tn Also keep the area well moisturized with good moisturiers. If the itching persists then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist. I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Avatar n tn How are you? Aside from avoiding the triggers, have you tried nasal irrigation? It utilizes a buffered hypertonic saline solution that helps reduce swollen and congested nasal and sinus tissues. Non-prescription nasal sprays can also be used frequently and are very convenient to use.
