Side effects of singulair are many varying from non serious ones like nausea,abdominal pain,headache,heart burns and GI discomfort to serious ones like anaphylaxis,liver damage and depression and hallucinations.You can take zytec(cetrizine) for your allergies but it is also not without side effects.They may vary from allergic reactions to raised heart beat,seizures and liver damage.
my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.
Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
He may have me get a CT scan for further exploration of the problem. In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings.
I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals.

Very similar but slightly different is Clarinex. Clarinex might slow down mucus if from allergy. You can also try a nebulizer with Sodium Cromolyn soultion. Works in 5 minutes but doesn't last more than a couple of hours. It will slow down the mucus cells that react to allergy.
My allergy is pretty bad from pollens including foods that I eat. But when I go out for exercise I wear a paper mask over my mouth. With a mask I can walk a 12 minute 1/4 mile.
I'm real confused about allergy symptoms & treatments, I've done alot of research on the internet, but never find what I'm really looking for. Common allergy symptoms are: sneezing, runny nose, itching, watery eyes, hives, rashes. But I never had these symptoms.
My symptoms are, stuffy nose, swollen throat, excess mucus production, tight chest occassional difficulty breathing. I do not have Asthma, I am a smoker, had 3 PFT's return normal, breathing at 97%.
Also keep the area well moisturized with good moisturiers. If the itching persists then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
