i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.
Hello 3 weeks ago I smoked cannabis for the first time and had a terrible panic attack. I felt like I was going to die and that my friend was going to murder me.
Since then I haven't felt the same. I remember shaking and screaming in horror. The week after I suffered from derealization were everything felt like a dream (it still does a little bit) but not as intense as before. Now I feel a bit better but not the same.
I basically started citalopram before bed and to be fair was coping ok, the next morning i was just getting on with things and then i just felt amazing like a complete shift in my fear and basically AGAIN FELT GREAT!!! i was quickly looking forward to life again and sure enough was doing great!
This lasted 6 weeks 2 days before christmas my body just creased and then im battling extreme anxiety again. Needed sleeping pills just to get an hour or two. Tried 40mg citalopram but it was extreme.
After years of feeling unsatisfied and unhappy i started smoking weed, it was very fun, but after years my addiction got to a point i was smoking everyday, all the time, eventually life caught up to me and i had to get back into work, but right before that i had a stomach flu that might have developed into IBS, along with anxiety, which came on very strongly if i smoked weed, i quit drugs(doing only weed) and slowly recovered using SSRIs(cipralam).
What exposure risk did you have? Anal or vaginal and was it protected sex?
so after 2 years of citalopram (40mg/day for one year and 20mg/day for another), and feeling ok with my life i disappeared to stop taking it, i asked my psychiatrist and she said ok. soo september 2012 i stopped.so till december 2012, i was felling ok and then it stared i was feeling i bit depressed in the beginning, did not want to do thing, i was feeling tired most of the time.and as the time gone by i stared feeling worse and worse.

Basically escitalopram is the new citalopram with less side-effects and requires only half the dosage and I think it is the reason for it's cheaper price.

s concern may come from the fact that the use of an SSRI (citalopram is one) with aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) or other drugs that affect bleeding may increase the likelihood of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. A pain medication such as vicodin which is usually prescribed by dentists, contains acetaminophen which is not a NSAID and does not effect ones bleeding rate. Your dentist may need a course in pharmaceuticals.
Hi there...I take Wellbutrin XL (300 mg extended release bupropion) and no I didn't gain weight on it. I have been on differing doses for over 2 years. Also, no loss of sex drive if that is important to you which is a common side effect of most of the other medications used for anxiety.
I started with 187,5mg Effexor and my strong depression went away in 3 months. Because of a dizzy brain, difficulty in concentration I reduced to 75mg. But still I feel sick and tired in the afternoon - strange but it becomes better after meal. But I have to take a antidepressiva for a long time, to reduce the risk of a fallback. So I search for a better drug with less sideeffects.
I tried zoloft and citalopram but the sideeffects were worse.
Hello, I am a 54 year old male with severe anxiety and am taking 40 mg of citalopram and lotrel for bp issues. I recently read that citalopram can cause long qt syndrome and since my anxiety issues are driven by my health, I am concerned. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's, I have no family history of long qt, but with my low heart rate I wonder if I should cease to use citalopram. My doctor does not feel this is a problem but I thought I should seek other opinions Thanks .
Hi....I take this for general anxiety with excellent results. You don't have all the side effects with this type of medication compared to an antidepressant. I think you will find that you're going to feel much better! Take care.
Hi, Ive have just been prescribed Citalopram today. And im just wondering if anyone else has used these previously?
I have been to the doctors recently in trying to fix my mental health, After informing them that I was feeling depressed with anxiety, they gave me a prescription for citalopram. I could not get therapy for three or four months, so for some reason I didn't bother with it, hoping in time that the citalopram would get me back on my feet.
The Doc wants me to take citalopram for stress. What is the most common side effect?
but after huge waves of depression due to the lack of energy,fatiuge ect i was totaly exhasted so i started to take this new citalopram the doctor prescribed. I have been taking them for 4 weeks now and already am felling really good.
Infact i cant belive the vast improvement. I have had no migranes,no brain fog, no dizziness am thinking on my feet my vocab has speeded back up and i can thin clearer than i have in the past 2 years.
