Citalopram with ibuprofen

Common Questions and Answers about Citalopram with ibuprofen

Avatar m tn my 39 year old wife has had HCV for 20 years, she refuses treatment and she continues to drink about 1 bolttle of wine per night. she also has about 2 ibuprofen per night and recently started to have 2 or 3 Citalopram per day. the reason I am asking this here is due to the fact she refuses to talk about it at all. I do not know what stage or whatever she is at. why would she take an antidepressant? why would she drink and why would she take ibuprofen? would she feel pain in her liver?
Avatar f tn Hello, I am wondering if anybody has a suggestion of medications or anything that works to help with memory problems associated with SCT that will not cause more memory problems or possible brain damage with long term use?
Avatar n tn It's usually a temporary side-effect...give it about three weeks, and if it hasn't passed, consider switching medications. In the meantime, low-grade painkillers from time to time ought to at least make you more comfortable. As a warning, NSAIDs should not be taken alongside Celexa or its generic, Citalopram. (NSAID drugs include: aspirin, indomethacin (Indocin), ibuprofen (Motrin), naproxen (Naprosyn), piroxicam (Feldene), and nabumetone (Relafen). Tylenol is safe though.
648439 tn?1225062462 My arthritis hurts more as I am not taking much Panadol any more - none today and no Ibuprofen! Think the Interferon also helped with the arthritis?
Avatar f tn Celecoxib (Celebrex) belongs in the class of NSAIDs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, similar to aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc. It is used to relieve pain and inflammation. Celexa is citalopram, a SSRI or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It is similar to fluoxetine (Prozac) and belongs in the same drug class, SSRI. It is used to treat depression and other mental health conditions. I am not sure what you mean in regards to "mind relaxation".
Avatar f tn Here is the patient information that would be dispensed with Celexa if you were to fill it with us. Citalopram Hydrobromide Oral tablet Trade Names Celexa The list of names may not include all products that are available on the market. What is this medicine? CITALOPRAM is a medicine for depression. This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions. What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
Avatar m tn Even though no sign of headaches, The tingling now comes and goes but experience it at least 3 days a week I went to my GP and he said it is likely to be anxiety so prescribed me Amitriptyline, after taking the medicine for a week I went back after experiencing palpitations, they noticed I was experiencing tachycardia so also prescribed me citalopram to take as well still thinking it is anxiety related.

I have been referred to a pain clinic regarding the back pain and I am still waiting to see a Dr regarding the other issues mentioned.

Avatar f tn For about a week now I've been struggling with this horrible tightness in my chest and also a sharp pain that comes and goes. I have been extremely short of breath, I feel like I can't get a full breath in and that even if I could the tightness and discomfort in my chest is preventing me from actually doing so. Just walking around the house I have difficulty breathing. All this going on in the past week has sent me into a full blown craze.

959034 tn?1253675076 Motrin (ibuprofen), bisoprolol Moderate Drug Interaction MONITOR: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may attenuate the antihypertensive effect of beta-blockers. The proposed mechanism is NSAID-induced inhibition of renal prostaglandin synthesis, which results in unopposed pressor activity producing hypertension. In addition, NSAIDs can cause fluid retention, which also affects blood pressure.

Avatar f tn Doctor said most people on Citalopram notice a difference in three weeks. My brother is also on Citalopram and he noticed a difference much earlier than that. However, Citalopram just made me worse and worse and worse. The Avanza was given to me while I was in hospital while thye were taking me off and on a bunch of different drugs at the same time so it's hard to say but I reckon it started working in about three weeks. So hang in there!
997730 tn?1254281976 Hrrm, I don't have a copy of the lab test yet, so maybe it was for the test you mention. I don't know anything about anti-depressants, I'll have to look up what SSRI is. Prozac scares me... I don't know why. But if it helps me keep control of myself, I'll try it.
Avatar f tn NSAIDs presently on the market that have been frequently associated with liver injury are aspirin (ASA), diclofenac (Voltaren), and sulindac (Clinoril). Ibuprofen (Motrin) has been reported to cause severe liver injury in people with hepatitis C. It is recommended that people with advanced liver disease avoid using all NSAIDs.

Avatar m tn It's December now and I am feeling it as I am typing now. There is minimal pain associated with this ghostly dripping sensation but it is there.I thought I was crazy but reading your post has reassured me that there is something wrong and I am not going to give up until I get some answers. It is a real condition that needs to be fixed. Thank you for sharing about your pain and stay positive. It is hard to do I know but we will find an answer.
