I take a clonazepam at night for restless and OTC unison and I cannot drive in the morning because I fall asleep. I am 85 I sleep till about 4:00 is it the medicines I take. I never had this before. I had a complete blood test, I Do not know how to handle this, Is it the sleeping pill or clonazepam.
So sorry to hear that your Dad is going through this. Sounds like it's such a discomfort for him to get anything down. After a while of not eating, one's appetite for anything seems to fade. Would some sort of liquid nutrition be an option? i know there are some healthy meal replacements out there that may trigger his appetite again. I'm not sure if he can drink it slowly or not. Perhaps a nutritionist can suggest some options for easy swallowing and digestion.
Hi there, im currently on 20 mg of Citalopram for my anxiety. Does anybody else have this wierd thing where they wake up and feel a little confused or disoriantated? i do. if anybody has any advise that would be great..
have had 2 episodes of sleep paralysis since may (just received diagnosis of diabetes at that time). i also take citalopram. Could the citalpram cause the sleep paralysis or would the diabetes be a more likely cause?
Hi I am getting bad burning/ tingling in mouth and also same on inner thighs and lower legs with pain behind my ears, neck , under arms and bot knees and elbows. I am on citalopram for anxiety but symptoms getting worse, any ideas?
This question is regarding a coworker who had unprotected sex 8 weeks ago, He has been on Celexa (Citalopram) for about 5 years taking the medication only for periods of time (periods of 7-8 months every year) whenever he feels he needs it.
Reading about the side effects of citalopram he says Citalopram depletes the immune system of glutathione as other SSRIs medications do.
During those three months I have been on three different antidepressants (Poraxetine, Zoloft, and Citalopram). Presently, I am on citalopram 10 mil. I started out on the 20 mil but my body could not take it, my anxiety increased ten fold. I was put on the 10 mil for 7 to 10 days and then tried the 20 mil. But again the anxiety increased, and I had muscle twitching and involuntary muscle jerking while seated and in bed at night.
s friend Emily sees me at my skinniest and suddenly starts to lose a noticeable amount of weight. Is this subconscious for Emily? I have done a lot of research on eating disorders and this issue is glossed over completely without fail. Does anyone in the healthcare industry have any info on this or opinion.....I am writing a book.
When I was a little kid, I had a phobia of choking for four years, which got so bad that I stopped eating solid food entirely, and had panic attacks if I was around "choking hazards" (small toys, beads, etc). It was mainly about breathing, not choking itself, since I was also very scared of drowning, suffocating, having a heart attack, etc. My psychiatrist at the time put me on 20mg of citalopram, which didn't help, so she bumped it up to 30, and then 40.
i have been on citalopram for two years and put on 50lb, which really depresses me since my eating and exercise regime has never changed. looking on the net i discovered wellburtrin, so i will ask my gp if i can swap over to this. i just want to know would i stop taking citalopram and start taking wellburtrin, or would i cut the dosage of citalopram down and take the new wellbutrin with it.
I've just been put on citalopram for depression and BDD and after reading the reviews and side effects leaflets, im worried about gaining weight on this medication...Is it the actual increase in hunger that causes weight gain or the tablet itself? I am quite worried about this as my body image issues make me scared about putting on weight..
so after 2 years of citalopram (40mg/day for one year and 20mg/day for another), and feeling ok with my life i disappeared to stop taking it, i asked my psychiatrist and she said ok. soo september 2012 i stopped.so till december 2012, i was felling ok and then it stared i was feeling i bit depressed in the beginning, did not want to do thing, i was feeling tired most of the time.and as the time gone by i stared feeling worse and worse.
psoriais is one of them but rare. however i havnt taken a citalopram in a week so how long should i wait for the effects to go

Was on citalopram for 21 years and everyone I know put weight on. When I swopped for rhodiola rosea for a year I lost 5 stones. Some are def worse than others for weight gain.
Contrary to popular beliefs I gained on fluoxetine too.
Off antidepressants I'm about 8 half stone.
