The combination of drugs, citalopram that is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and amphetamine and dextroamphetamine that are dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor is not recommended. Amphetamines may possess serotonergic activity and should not be administered with SSRIs as there is an additive risk of serotonin syndrome. Enhanced sympathomimetic effects is possible.
To treat the anxiety i started on Citalopram and this medication only made me very tired. (falling asleep in class). after talking with my counselor i started back on Add meds 2 days ago starting at 50mg Vyvanse. Once again just as focalin did this made me very sick last night causing the palor and tremor just as focalin had. I experienced twitches and insomnia last night got 2 hours of sleep but and 5 the night before but am awake but i feel terrible.

Furthermore, the psych I seen once, prescribed me citalopram (celexa) and I didn't get it filled and obviously didn't take it, why? Because I have an uncle that gets it prescribed and I tried it once (same amount I was prescribed) and I got sick the entire next day.
But she said that if this doesn't work she would give me Lexapro, and it's generic name EScitalopram, notice anything? Yeah, it's the same thing! But different ISOMER... geeze..
I gained about 30 lbs on Citalopram. I work out and eat healthy. I just saw a new doctor and he believes the Citalopram is causing my weight gain. I have been on it for about 18 months. I am now taking half a pill of Citalopram in order to wean myself off of it. My doctor then prescribed me Bupropion HCL (take twice a day). He says that should help with weight loss. Has anyone had good experiences with Bupropion? Did you gain weight on Citalopram? Thanks!!!
My symptoms have slowed down a little, but I have to take 2 naps a day and not drive anywhere. I have sleep studies twice a year and it seems to get worse each time. Its very aggravating to me! It seems like something would help. I see a team of specialists at Vanderbilt, but I need something else, but what? Anyone have any suggestions? I have tried everything!!
My doctor put me on Adderall XR (extended release) and it has helped me become more 'level-headed' and a little bit more able to focus on the events of the day. Of course, nothing is going to totally take away the depression and anxiety that we feel everyday except for our own minds. I feel that after 41 years of dealing with this depression and anxiety, there is no way to really conquer it besides getting our own thoughts under control.
Most of the drugs in Egypt are over the counter.. My mom is an internal medicine consultant and she takes Citalopram for depression, and she suggested that I start with 10 mg, it's subtheraputic, I know, but I wasn't so sure I have OCD.. Now that I know, I might increase the dose if the obsessions started impairing me again..

My Doctor is working with me and helping me in any way he can. I have ADHA and use to take Adderall daily. I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.
Combining Alprax and Citalopram can cause central nervous system and respiratory depressant effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Please discuss with your doctor for alternate medications. In the meantime, I would strongly caution you not to drive or operate heavy machinery while on these medications as you might injure yourself or others.

She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. How can I convince her Dr. to not prescribe it anymore? Please help us.

I've been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy.
A couple weeks ago my Dr. left and I was given a "temp" to take her place.
I'm prescribed adderal 20mg IR once a day for adhd. I was prescribed recently (a few weeks ago), and take half the daily dose in the morning, a third quarter in the afternoon, and a fourth quarter if it isn't too late, as 20mg IR is a lot to begin with. It's been helping me with my energy, but I'm wondering will this interfere with my recovery from painkillers?
i have an upcoming test and was maybe going to take some adderall to help me study. i do not have ADD and am not prescribed adderall. i know it may be harmful but i have done it in the past and i seemed to be fine. i was wondering if maybe taking the adderall while on the antibiotic would be a problem? what health risks would this pose?

But I know my group that Citalopram is not easy to come off you would be better going back on it and weaning off slowly follow cita's withdrawal programme my support group they are on the web.
I currently take 60mg Adderall XR once a day and recently my Dr. added Celexa 20mg once a day..Anyone have any experience with that combination?I noticed yesterday for about five minutes my hearing wasnt as good..then that went back to normal..this is after adding the celexa..Adderall never did this..I also now have diarrhea where with only the Adderall I only went once a week...but Adderall makes me not hungry at all...not till after 6 pm..

Basically escitalopram is the new citalopram with less side-effects and requires only half the dosage and I think it is the reason for it's cheaper price.
