As a result, I went to a pharmacy and got a 10-pack of 500mg Cipro and a 3 pack of 500mg Zipro. I took 1000mg of Cipro and 1000mg of Zipro yesterday and another 500mg of each today. Have a I taken enough of these drugs to kill both bacterial infections, and if so, how long should it take to clear up an infection if I do indeed have one?
I have been worried ever since and did notice a small discharge 2 days ago but only once. I have taken about 1000mg of cipro a day since then and about 1000mg of azitromycin the first day and 500mg a day (3 days now) after that as well. I plan on keeping this up for at least 3 more days. There has been no more discharge and no other symptoms present. What are the chances I picked up an STD and if the symptoms are gone do i stil need to worry? Thank you in advance for your answer.

The fourth recommendation of Cipro was from a urologist who guaranteed it would work, though I have yet to see any research online connected with the cure of NSU and Cipro. I am now coming to the near end of the Cipro course and I have had some mild relief but symptoms still very much prevalent.
One of the swab tests I have came back positive and the rest negative.
Take CIPRO Oral Suspension in the morning and evening at about the same time each day. ... Do not split, crush or chew the tablet.

Metoprolol should be taken with food or just after a meal. A Toprol XL tablet can be divided in half if your doctor has told you to do so. The half tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing or crushing. Chewing or crushing the pill could cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.
But my doctor said may be I am having prostitis and he prescribed me course of antibiotics (Cipro XL 500 mg) for 7 days but after 2 days I started diarrhea (I was going to the bathroom alot may be 6 to 10 times in a day). I went to walk in clinic on Feb. 12, 2009 and the doctor said it is because of antibiotic. I finished my antibiotics but still same problem but my diarrhea was gone on Feb. 15. No you can not get a STD anally or in your penis from the actions described above.

I been on cipro XL. Another antibiotic. Now my testicles are hurting. Both now\ I got nausea, cold sweats, groin pain, swollen testicles, and I am scared. Should I go to the hospital. I am only 26. I have taken 1000mg of Zithromax and 500mg Cipro for Gonorrhea and Clamydia this was 5 day ago. My symptoms are much better and get better by the day. I still have a slight tingle feeling at the tip of my penis and a slight urge to urinate (especially when I sit) again though, better today than yesterday. I also suspect that I make the sinsations worse just thinking about it so much.
I had an ultrasound done on my testes as had dull pain in left testicle. Had taken a month of antibiotics prior to ultrasound - 1000mg cipro daily for 2weeks followed by 200mg of doxycycline daily for 2 weeks. Urologist said I had a varicocele on left side and sonographer said I had inflammation of both testices indicating mild orchitis. No inflamation of epididymis. Urologist said it was very rare to have non specific viral orchitis and that pain in right testicle was just transfer pain.
They perscribed a single dose of 500mg Cipro and 4 250mg (1000mg) of Azithromycin (I could be spelling that wrong). I took the Cipro yesterday around 5pm and the Azithromycin around 2am and I haven't noticed any improvement. If anything, I've noticed an INCREASE in discharge and pain when I urinate. They sent samples off to the lab but it won't be back for a few days.
From what I've been reading, most people notice an improvement in symptoms in about 24 hours.
The doctor who examined me said it looked like the opening of the urethra looked slightly inflamed and gave me 1000mg of azithromicin. He said there a several types of bacteria that live in the mouth that could cause an infection, was a possible cause of my discomfort, and the antibiotic will knock it out.
The symptoms disappeared after about 3 days of the exam/ antibiotics. I had no symptoms whatsoever for about 2 weeks.
I took a full course of Cipro (1000mg/day) for 15 days straight. However, I still have cramping in my sides (and the back) near my kidneys. It hasn't gone away with the antibiotics. For the past week (since the prescription of antibiotics ran out) I've also been unusually tired. Towards the end of the course, the symptoms of a urinary tract infection (the uncomfortable ones) returned, but subsided soon after. The cramps, however, seem to get worse with time.
I saw a local doctor who gave me 1 x 1000mg azithromycin and a 5 day course of Cipro (1 x 500mg every 12 hours) and said as I was not local he could not test but that should clear most up... 5 days later there was no change... I was diagnosed with chylamadia or however it is spelled 2 years ago, i went through 4 months of hard antibiotic treatment, cipro 1000mg a day for one month, bactrium 1000mg a day for a month, doxycycliene 500mg for a month, and the zpack twice at 2mg each time. My sex life and confidence was through the roof had a steady girlfriend it felt great. Then after a couple of months i pissed blood got a cystscopy and everything came back normal.
Three weeks ago I was told I had a small UTI - traces of blood in urine and 10000 bacteria. No cultures were done. I had the frequency and urgency without pain. I was put on Cipro XL for 6 days and the infection cleared but not the fequency and urgency to urinate. My doctor gave me Detrol LA a week ago and the symptoms have subsided greatly.
On Sunday, my husband and I had intercourse. I lubed up well and all was good. Again on Tuesday night, we had intercourse - no pain.
My LLMD started me 10 weeks ago on abx regimen (Doxy 400mg, Cipro 1000mg, Rifampin 600mg per 24h plus Tindamax 1000mg 10 days in a month) and my physical and psyhological symptoms went away almost completely...I know I have to be on the regimen at least for 12 month but I feel almost healthy again!!:)
Unfortunately in week 6 of treetment my urological symptoms came back with big severity.
on friday, it did not go away so i went to a clinic and had a UA done. they said i had a UTI and gave me 1000mg of zithormax for one dose. on saturday night, the pain was still there while urinating, so i went to the ER. they tested me for gon and chlamydia (cotton swab). they gave me a shot in the arm, and also 500mg of Cipro to take 2x a day for 10 days. they also gave me pyrridium for the pain.
Is this possible or not after rocephin back in june along with some cipro...then 1000mg zithromax and 10 days doxycycline. And now this month and part of last its been about 15 days worth of more cipro. Could this chlamydia have gotten to the prostate if i caught it back in late april and didnt see the doc till June. If it did...would it be cleared by now. Why do i keep feeling this discomfort and once i feel it I start thinking things in my head. Please someone put my mind at ease.
