Common Questions and Answers about Cinacalcet litigation

Avatar f tn I think that there needs to be a discussion about patients not recieving fair medical treatment because they are involved in litigation brought about by personal injury. Not all personal injury patients are involved in litigation because they are looking for some easy monetary gain. Some of us have suffered many losses,( JOBS, HOMES, CARS, GOOD CREDIT RATINGS, RELATIONSHIP OR FAMILY ISSUES, DEPRESSION, LOSS OF CONSORTIUM) due to injuries that has kept us from being able to return to work.
Avatar f tn Is anyone considering tubal ligation or IUD? This is my second high risk pregnancy and I'm sensitive to hormones, so I'm considering a non hormonal IUD or tubal litigation after delivery.
1549945 tn?1294006901 I am afraid there are not any at home ways to solve this problem. Tubal litigation is a serious decision and hopefully that was explained by the dr performing the surgery. The only solution for women in this situation is another surgery, which as mentioned is expensive. Not only is a reversal or IVF expensive, it's not gaurnteed to work. I see so many women posting this same question all the time.
Avatar f tn I am in same boat.
Avatar n tn t release any information to you without a medical proxy. In any event in any accident involving potential litigation, it is prudent to obtain all copies of the ER reports as soon as possible. My horror story involves a time when I was minding my own business and brutally assaulted without provocation by several individuals. One wrapped his arms around me while the other worked me over. Cutting to the chase it turns out they were bodyguards for a Greek Billionaire.
Avatar f tn Thanks..
Avatar m tn Approximately 10% of veins that are used in cardiac bypass fail the first year, and 10% fail every year from time of the surgery. No one knows why they fail, but they do. I doubt your doctor is afraid of litigation as vessel failure is a documented fact. He/she is trying drug therapy to develop what are called collateral arteries, which are tiny vessels that can and do enlarge to take the place of the occluded artery in many if not most cases.
Avatar n tn Extremes of defense medicine avoiding chance of litigation. Subjecting somebody to unnecessary anxiety for normal things because in other situations it can be abnormal... God bless America.
5492154 tn?1374801006 Zayne came into this world 1/10/14 at 1:50pm. It was a rough delivery and had scary moments but was more than worth it. He's perfect, he's 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 1/4 inches. He amazing and hardly ever cries. I'm incredibly sore, I had a tubal litigation yesterday morning and we both should be getting to go home today sometime.
6641413 tn?1383299984 isit possible to get pregnant after a tubal litigation. they was just clamped. its been 9 yrs. this is the first time I've missed a period in that time span.
Avatar f tn Btw Drcsue I'm also having a tubal litigation with this c/s
Avatar m tn The window period guideline for oral tests in the USA is 3 months. The 6 month with Home Access is probably more for litigation.
163305 tn?1333668571 BP is urging a federal judge to give final approval to a proposed settlement with residents damaged by the 2010 oil spill, who have barely a week to decide whether to opt out of the deal. In a document filed Monday night with U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier of New Orleans, BP rebutted objections by various parties in recent weeks and said the size of the settlement and the small number of opt-outs - under 1,000 so far - prove the deal is fair. Prospective claimants have until Nov.
Avatar n tn There is a black box warning on the medication package to prevent litigation. Note that your son was not minor. My knowledge of the U.S law is limited tho, you can always check. I am terribly sorry for your lost.
Avatar m tn We are just trying to get to the bottom of why she is still having problems and her Doctor has been evasive since she is concerned about litigation.
454863 tn?1208306979 I'm with you on this!! It scares people more than anything...you have to see your doctor to get it anyway...he should be telling you the side effects! I think it's done to protect themselves from any litigation, because after hearing all the side effects, who would want to take it? I don't know...but yes, I've had it with these commercials.
Avatar f tn I am sorry for all the pain you have endured and continue to endure. I am glad your 26 year litigation has finally ended. I also have malabsorption syndrome and have suffered through dumping syndrome. I can relate. Have a great evening with your caring husband. Hopefully we'll chat soon.
Avatar m tn Because of all the trial lawyer litigation and lawsuits against physicians, hospitals, drug manufacturers the owners of MedHelp.org do not allow us to make tentative diagnosis or interpret OCT, MRI, visual fields, etc. If the trial lawyers weren't so powerful in the United States and have such a powerful junk lawsuit billion dollar industry I would be happy to look at them. But the fact is they are one of the most powerful special interest groups in the country and the VP is one of them.
Avatar n tn I also want to add that I have been dealing with c5/6 6/7 cervical herniations due to a car accident two years ago. That was something I really did not need to happen. But it did, then I moved to Missouri and I have to say, I have NOT been able to find a good pain doctor nor a good ortho surgeon as they don't want to touch anything dealing with a litigation. Something I would not have had to do had the other guy's insurance treated me halfway fairly, but that is another story.
Avatar n tn No one likes to do anything to a pregnant woman for fear of damage to the embryo and the high level of malpractice litigation in the USA. Trial lawyers love "bad babies" cases because the amount they can litigate for is in the multi-millions. You should be asking these questions of your surgeon. I doubt that natural delivery will have an effect on the buckle retina at one year the healing is totally complete.
Avatar f tn I am not sure why another physician will not see you. Liability for what? Are you in litigation? If that is the case than yes, physicians will be less apt to see you or treat you. It's sad but true. Physicians are leery of ppl that are involved in legal action. If you are not in litigation then I am unclear as to why they would refuse to see you. If you have pain it needs to be diagnosed and treated.
Avatar f tn Refuse the induction if you don't want one. They are only recommended at 42 weeks (through evidence-based research - any earlier, and it's a litigation based recommendation) and even then you just need to check fluid levels and placenta quality in a scan (an independent scan would be better - my midwife said a lot of doctors just tell you your fluid is too low or placenta is too old anyway, even if it's not, so they get your baby out and stop waiting).
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness is getting worse, I'm not vomiting much but the nausea is debilitating. My doctor prescribed my dilectin but I'm Leary about taking it with it being pulled from the state's due to litigation because of claims of birth defects, is there a more natural approach I can try other then crackers before I decide to use such a contraversal medication. Or has anybody taken dilectin in previous pregnancys and have had no problems.
Avatar n tn The question for the poster is, has this been continuous from when you stopped the Paxil (and why, after all this time and litigation would anyone cold turkey off Paxil?). If so, then yes, you're still in withdrawal. You, too, should then research Protracted Withdrawal Syndrome and then ask yourself why at this late date in the very tragic Paxil story you went off it cold turkey. Even tapering off this drug can cause problems.
1339241 tn?1275943493 You have to go to a qualified exercise therapist with experience in relieving disk pressure on a nerve. Generally they will only take referrals from an M.D. after evaluating an MRI to avoid litigation by recommending exercises that would cause damage. These people are pretty good and the exercises really have to be shown in person. Exercises to improve muscle tone are used because that is what keeps disc separation within normal limits. Usually intermittant mild axial traction is recommended.
