I have been on Amgen 386 and I think I am getting the real thing. I have been on it with Doxil for over a year.
There is a new drug called Denosumab. Its is made by Amgen. It has been in clinical testing for three or four years now. I have been on it for almost three years. It has a 87% sucess rate in beating GCT.

I have now been in a Clinical Trial for Amgen 386 and Doxil chemotherapy for over a year. It killed all the Cancer in my liver, spleen, and diaphragm, but is back again in my spleen. Doxil is not as bad as the Carboplatin/Taxotere. I know a woman who did over a 100 cycle on Doxil and lived 27 years. I am 2 1/2 years out from diagnosis. I live a normal life. I have gotten used to having Ovarian. I try not to think about it. The fear can drive you crazy.
There is also a drug called prolia ( from Amgen) which has currently been approved for osteoporosis in trial for this tumor, it is showing quite positive results.
Try a university teaching hospital. They have supplied the blood work, biopsy, cat scans, ultrasounds, and occasional 'doctor' visit (usually a resident) and arranged via Genetech (formally Roche) Patient Assistance Program for the primary treatment drugs plus, a secondary drug from Amgen. While it has had it's drawbacks, like poor communication, it's all been free care. Let us hope this might be a path open to you.

The drug that is being used is Amgen and taxol, and the third arm is just taxol. Has anyone heard of this new drug? The other option that was given to me is Gemzar or Doxil. Any help would be so appreciated.
