Hello everyone! Turning a long story shrot here. I've had severe atopic eczema since I was around the age of 3, I'm now nearing 20 and it's gotten more severe instead of better over the years. All treatments I've tried including ointments, creams and other forms of treatment have not worked or helped at all. My dermatologist wants me to start a course of Neoral to see if it helps.
grasping at straws for what could possible be wrong so that I can find relief/treatment. People seem to want to point fingers at the cancer again automatically, but this seems to have been effectively ruled out. Wondering if the symptoms which led to the Hodgkin's diagnosis were caused by a separate condition (now reoccurring) and the Hodgkin's was found accidentally? I just want to feel like I'm 26 again, not 86....Please Help!!!
With the low TSH and low Free T3, the indication may be Central or Secondary hypothyroidism...Central hypothyroidism is when there's a problem with the pituitary gland in which there isn't enough TSH to stimulate the thyroid to produce adequate thyroid hormones.
Could you please check the reference range for the Free T3 also? The one you have listed is very different from what we, typically, see.

However this could be idiopathic (cause not known) or could be due to hypothyroidsm, hypoparathyroidsm, adrenal gland insufficiency, certain medications like cimetidine, corticosteroids, danazol, isotretinoin, levothyroxine, lithium, minocycline, nalidixic acid, nitrofurantoin, tamoxifen, tetracycline, or ciclosporin, iron deficiency anemia, chronic renal failure etc. Similarly Empty Sella Syndrome can be a primary one or secondary one due to injury, radiation or chemotherapy.
Certain drugs can also deplete magnesium levels such as osmotic diuretics, cisplatin, ciclosporin, amphetamines, and possibly proton pump inhibitors. There are also certain medical conditions that cause a lack of magnesium in one's system. It is very important that you have your magnesium levels checked prior to starting supplements and if you are found to have a deficiency you need to work with your doctor to find and resolve the underlying issue.

Is it best to have the RAI treatment after thyroid removed, with large lymph node, that all contained pappilary cancer, even if the thyroglobulin test is zero?
Do most people start treatment right away or do you wait if you are not symptomatic? I keep having these moment where I need to know all the answer and all the next steps. And then for a moment I'm ok. Is it better to get my body in shape before undergoing treatment (kind of like preparing for battle). I all ready have aches and pains and am over-weight. Would treatment intensify this?
well my husband starts treatment tuesday night. what should we expect? the dr. said to take a couple of tylenol before we come in. for what? and should it be tylenol pm so he can come home and just sleep? i hope thats not a dumb question.

After I found out I had HepC, I got tested again, had the liver biopsy and was offered to start treatment. But, my viral load is only 160,000, and my liver showed only slight cell inflamation. The nurse said I should start while I feel good. I wonder if the viral load was low becasue before having the biopsy and viral load count, I spent a year taking high doses of milk thistle and basil, and plenty of vitamins. I think my viral load count is relatively low.
I actually turned out to be one of the lucky ones. I was genotype 1b, grade 1, Stage 0. I started treatment at the age of 29. I was on treatment for 48 weeks and it was nothing for me. I had hardly any side effects, i never took one helper drug, only Advil here and there and smoked a little marijuana sometimes in the mornings to get my appetite going before i headed to work.
I missed a total of 5 days from work in the entire 48 weeks.
