t mean to suggest that my recent feelings ARE related to Chantix, but I am wondering. I hae noticed my mood has changed over the past three months. I snap at people in public and at work too. I feel entirely overwelmed at work and recently I feel like simply quitting a career of 30 years with no viable plan for the future. I NEED to work but feel entirely overwelmed, unable to focus and execute lately.

My psychiatrist has already told me that he will not put me on ANY antidepressants because of the mood swings. Since I do not have any coverage/money for meds I am just searching for alternatives. I really appreciate your help!

My sister-in-law quit years ago and I asked her how long the cravings and mood swings lasted for her and she said about a year so it sounds like maybe things are moving along normally for you. Of course, see your doctor because it's so hard to feel like that constantly and if you need a little something to protect your quit then that's what you have to do. Stay strong and take care....

After a month of taking the Chantix, she ended up in hospital for 2 weeks, highly suicidal and having swings. She refuses to acknowledge that she has BP though and blames it solely on the Chantix.

Yes. All of this is normal. My mood swings are random. I more so feel like I'm about to cry. When ppl have attitude or upset with me I just completely lose my patience.

With this being my 3rd pregnancy I'm fully aware of mood swings , but today I just want to punch my husband in the face! Everything he does is making me mad , I just don't want to be bothered with.
