I became very angry and wanted to be violent but thankfully never actually got violent. I had horrible nightmares too so I was always scared to go to sleep. I decided to quit taking it as I figured smoking was better than prison for murder! I have smoked for over 25 years and have quit a couple of times over the years but always went back. For Christmas, my kids got me the electronic cigarette and it is actually working. I have went from 1 pack a day to 2 cigarettes a day.

I was also concerned about the depression and the Chantix affecting me, but my doctor said that the likelyhood of feeling suicidal or more depressed is quite remote, so I decided to give it a try and would quit if I felt awful. I know of a few people who used it and actually claimed to have become "homicidal" and felt extremely angry and violent. Both of these individuals were very, very heavy drinkers, and I am certain that is why Chantix affected them that way.
By the way, you can always tell that a drug is affecting brain neurotransmitters when you see those warnings they give out, as you do with Chantix, and they warn that they can cause suicidal and violent thoughts and the like. This warning is a dead giveaway that the drug is affecting similar things that antidepressants and anti anxiety drugs and anti psychotics are playing around with.

This week he had 2 great days of good behavior and then today he began the day hitting and kicking my dogs when i kenneled the dogs to keep them away from him, and had him and the other children up tho the table to do an art project i went to the bathroom camr out and found him stabbing the dog through the kennel.
I have a question for those of you who used the Chantix to kick the cigarettes. I have smoked on and off for years, and I have quit several times for long periods of time, but this time I am in need of some sort of assistance doing it (the thought of no cigarettes is worse for me than the thought of no norco ever was). I don't want to spend any more money on cigarettes, I hate the smell of cigarette smoke, I always have, pretty weird for a smoker, huh?
Ask ur his PCP for this medicine its called DAYTRANA is for aggressive behavior and also mood changes and ADHD AN ADD my son has ADHD and is he all this medicine its a patch sorry i forgot to mention that well it really works for him he was just like your son very violent well since he's been on this medicine he is a changed child he's more focus and loveing and doesnt destroy things or hit others.
For 17 months i am still undx will get tests back in a few days ...and i want to finally quit smoking but they want me to wait to fill the prescription until all my tests come back now im getting worried ...
Before that and chantix I could never stop but have stopped for almost 3 moths and the other times for a little less. When, I started smoking again, it was only for about a week. I seem to start when I get real upset. I know this isn't good but it's alot better than before and I will keep on and get it right. anyone else had this problem?
I have tried to quit at least 6 times yet always end up smoking after 1 week even when I was on Chantix. This time I am at day 9 and forgot to take the evening pill 2x already. I think that is a good sign but I only have 3 weeks left of medicine. Can anyone tell me what to expect when the meds are gone? I was also drinking 2-4 red bulls a day and have not drank one since I quit smoking. I now drink one small frappucino each day.
We have a 5 year old girl. Her behavior has changed a little since the separation, I mean she is violent ,especially to me ,to others in the family as well.I suppose her behavior is related to our separation . She has a rebellious way , she has been like that since she was born.I suppose she blames me for not having her dad around much more time .She is still in her NEgative PERIOD. She says NO to almost everything I ask her to do.Anyways I want help, as in some practical things .

The family doctor has finally agreed that these symptoms are negative effects of the chantix and he needs to go on anxiety med and see a counselor. I have read on other blogs that other users are still fighting symptoms after years off that drug. Has anyone else been fighting the effects of this awful drug? We are emotionally devastated to see what was once a strong, healthy, active young man turn into a bundle of nerves and anxiety.
She then called me a stupid *****, and tried to kick her bedroom window out.I got a belt to disipline her and she tried several times to hit me, and kept pushing me out her way. She was trying to call the poilice because I hit her. I go through this with her at least twice a week. She is always mad about something, She cusses at my two there daughters as well as the kids on our street. She has the same problems at school.
My sister is so horribly behaved. When she wants something, she has to get it, or she throws violent tantrums and fits of anger. My mother has rheumatoid arthritis and she hits my mother when my mother yells at her for behaving the way she does. She also hits and scratches me when I step in to prevent her from touching my mother. I have scars from deep scratches she's gave me that made me bleed, which has been a lot of times.
At least once he has removed a stool from his pants, put it in the toilet, flushed and washed his hands. Additionally, he is very violent, especially with his mom, dad, my husband, and less frequently my kids. Lots of hitting, kicking, spitting and sometimes biting. A new development is that I have heard him call his mom a ***** and an ******* on several occasions in the most venomous voice I have heard from a child. He does not care about time outs and says as much.
