My 11 yr old corgi has DM We are at the point where we think we should put her down. It is a horrible decision to make as she is still so alert and loving. But she can't walk at all and drags herself around when she can. Most of the time now she barks to have us carry her from place to place. We are quite concerned with the onset of winter and how we are going to be able to get her outside in the snow. She is having a lot of trouble going to the bathroom when she wants to.
I was taking antibiotics for 7 years but I started having stomach problems and had to stop taking them, and am currently taking spironolactone but it is not entirely effective and I'm not comfortable with all of the risks. My dermatologist suggested PDT acne treatment and told me that it would not bring me out of remission, but I'd like as much input as I can get. Would the side effects of PDT bring me out of remission or is it safe?
Dextromethorphan (the DM) can act like an hallucinogenic - but typically in large doses. It sounds like you are very sensitive to the drug. It shouldn't cause any long-term effects - especially in regard to anxiety. But you might have had a bad reaction to the drug, and you might want to talk to your doctor about this. Have you suffered from anxiety in the past? If so, it's possible that having these hallucinations triggered an episode of anxiety.
I have a really bad cough. The left side of my throat is starting to hurt. Even when I drink water. I've had it for 2 weeks now. It's just a cough though. I'll sometimes get a headache. I've tried drinking a honey & lemon tea. I've tried cough drops. I've tried warm compression. I've tried vaporo on my chest and feet. Idk what else to try. I've told my dr about it the last appointment I had and she said to take cough drops but that doesn't work for me.
