hi i have arthritis and i have had 4 joints totally replaced and i am only 35 with no kids. i am having so severe side effects from my med mainy celebrex i have had an heart test and was seen as early polarization , diagnosed with chronic gastrointestinal reflux and have skin rash and legions . i am thinking of a claim against them . but in the main time i dont want my doctors to feel bad as they have been with me since my early twenties.

s the Neurontin and not the Celebrex that was causing it from what you have said to me. Especially since that is one of the side-effects of the Neurontin and VERY seldom (only - was is it 5%?) for the Celebrex. I'd take the chance that it IS the Neurontin and go ahead and take the Celebrex since it helps your pain. It's worth a try, for IF it Stops AFTER the Neurontin is GONE, then you know that you CAN take the Celebrex. IF it starts again then you would know that it was BOTH.

My dad quickly stopped taking it and they put him on Effexor which caused some side effects such as dizziness, insomnia, and upper respiratory problems. Never taken them personally, but that is what I have heard. I would immagine those would also be addictive also, maybe not as bad, but still dependence would set in. GOOD LUCK ...

My orthopedic specialist tried switching me to Lyrica for 3 months back in 2014 with horrible immediate side effects. Switched back to Gabapentin. I am asking if there is another neuropathic pain medication to use as an alternative to Gabapentin. I agree that the Gaba helps with nerve pain, however the side effects are scaring me. I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?

Hello tobinc, I just finished reading your comments. If I understand you correctly, you say you are having some issues with your left shoulder and neck. My chiropractor, I have neck and back issues, says that sometimes if you have a problem with neck pain it can connect with your shoulder. My husband actually has problems with his right shoulder and neck. He picked up something really heavy while helping his mom and dad at their house and threw out his shoulder.

Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. I am tapering off of Neurontin for that reason and would like your opinion as to how to get off of it will less side effects. I am at 500mg now per day. I am now trying 100mg per week as I get ill feeling, insomnia and anxiety. What do you all normally do?

Neurontin has alot of side effects. I took it and Ik alot of other people that have taken it and that are now taking it. I personally feel that the bad outweighs the good when it comes to this drug and Lyrica. There are so many bad side effects. Pitted edema, weight gain, blurred vision, sleep eating, can cause more pain than before you started, hangover into next day, brain fog, headaches etc... Just look up adverse reactions to this drug and see if you are experiencing them.

ve been suffering some mild insomnia, excess sweating, but perhaps most off putting is the lack of libido and sexual response!! t answer other that to say do a search here and/or on the web for side effects of omepraole. If that is a possible side effect discuss with your prescribing doctor you may be able to get help from some other medication.

Up until February, I had been on opiates for a few years. Norco along with Celebrex and Robaxin (muscle relaxer). I had more side effects from all the NSAID's I was on before my insurance would finally approve Celebrex, than I did with the Norco. The only side effect I had with Norco was nausea with vomiting only when it got really bad. But that was only if I took it on an empty stomach. But the pain relief outweighed the nausea because I took an anti histamine to counter act it.

Hmmm, not everyone's side effects will be the same. In fact, you may not really have any side effects that you notice. My side effects were: racing heart - I lost about 5 lbs in 3 days. skin sensitive to the touch. feeling like I was beat up with a baseball bat on my back. shaking. and feeling like my achilles tendon was going to rip off.
