Avatar f tn If you are going to start a powerful NSAID like Celebrex, I would recommend that you purchase a home blood pressure monitoring kit to periodically check your bp while on this medication. There are also some injectable meds out there that your doctor can inject directly into your knees and feet and they are also non-narcotic.
Avatar f tn Hello, Previously before starting Celebrex medication I had slightly high blood pressure I am taking blood pressure medication, after starting Celebrex my blood pressure soared to 170/80 and the highest being 183. My doctor sent me to a cardiac specialist and it was found that I had a faulty heart valve, I had an Angiogram and was found to have slightly enlarged heart muscle. Could this have been due to the Celebrex, I have stopped taking it and my blood pressure has returned to 115/60. Cazz.
1155483 tn?1262432647 ve been having terrible headaches and the halos and spots in your vision - they could be sign of elevated blood pressure (I get some of these same symptoms if my blood pressure goes up). I was on Celebrex for a while (also an NSAID) but had to stop taking it as it had raised my blood pressure to a dangerous level (185/105). Tramadol could help, but again you need to be wary. If you have or have a family history of - glaucoma - be VERY careful with this medication.
Avatar n tn I never had high blood sugar but recently after a 10 day course of celebrex for an inflamed shoulder muscle my fasting blood sugar shot up to 137. I read that celebrex has this side effect. Is it reversible?

Avatar n tn Could low blood pressure be a symptom of my FEC chemo? I'm having trouble with my veins insofar as getting a canula inserted, i've had my 4th of 6 treatments (29/01/2010). I have just taken my bp and it is 91/63.
Avatar m tn It is wise to ask the professionals on here anyway. There are a few side effects including potential failure to urinate and possible itching that could occur with Tramadol. I use drugs.com for more information about drug interactions. As usual the is usually only 3-4 % chance of adverse side effects with US meds.
Avatar m tn 20 years old is young to already be on blood pressure medication. Has your doctor done lab work and imaging to find a cause for your elevated blood pressure? Are you overweight or obese? You are currently taking a class of medication called a beta-blocker. The side effects you are experiencing are very common. I would ask your doctor about switching you to a different class of medication like a diuretic, ACE inhibitor, ARB, or calcium channel blocker.
Avatar f tn You have a lot of variables going on. Your blood pressure must run high overall? One reading wouldn't necessarily mean it's high. I was offered Lisinopril, I thought it was for high blood pressure, while I was hospitalized for a-fib last fall. I was already on an anti-arrythmic and a beta blocker and a couple of other unrelated drugs. Anyway they offered me Liprinosil and I declined to add yet another drug. My cholestersol is about the same as yours and I'm on crestor for that.
Avatar f tn I recently started Avastin. The most common side effect is high blood pressure. I have not had this problem so far. I had some abdominal pain after last cycle, but I believe that was not the Avastin. I am on it in combination with the folfox chemo, since my ovca is unusual and acts like a GI cancer in many ways. I am thankful to have had the chance to be on it. I know that not everyone is able to be approved for it. I am sorry that is the case. You might want to ask the chemo doc, Dr.
Avatar n tn m taking 25mg twice a day for tachycardias, and my biggest side effect is low blood pressure (my blood pressure was always ideal, now it's never over 80/50 most days) ... and with that, of course, some fatigue! aloneinthismaze -- how many pvcs do you have a day? I have them, too, but luckily, I've never noticed any. I can't imagine what that must be like! I'd DEFINITELY get checked out with your new symptoms. Get your liver checked out ASAP.
1495558 tn?1288805527 this does not sound like a normal reaction, and why, for heavens sake, if she is having these side effects, should she stay on it.
Avatar dr m tn I was on Celebrex for a short time, but, although it was helping my severe arthritis pain, I had to be taken off of it because it was raising my blood pressure to a dangerous level (160/105). Apparently this can be a side effect of all types of NSAID's so have been told I have to be VERY careful about taking any of them.
Avatar m tn I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.

1295419 tn?1276822872 Lexapro carries under it's side effects hyPERtension, (high blood pressure) postural hyPOtension, (lowered BP upon changing positions, usually sitting to standing) and tachycardia. If you have only noticed these changes since beginning the Lexapro, I would certainly bring them to the attention of your doctor. They may very well stop when your body adjusts to the meds, but it never hurts to play it safe.
Avatar m tn Another thing to consider with the advil is that if you have high blood pressure, any type of anti inflammatory can increase your blood pressure (I have to be very careful with them - was on Celebrex for a short time until it elevated my BP to 185/105 - went back to normal as soon as I stopped the meds) - Untreated HBP can also cause memory problems sometimes (by the way, long term prednisone use can also raise your BP) Best of luck!
Avatar n tn that's probably from the Bystolic getting your blood pressure down too low. Did you lose weight recently? Can you check your BP when you feel light-headed? Maybe your doc will reduce your dosage. Also, make sure the light-headedness doesn't result in a fall.
Avatar n tn 15th, 2009 because she thought that anxiety was the cause for my uncontrollable blood pressure, but it did not lower the pressure. I have now been off this terrible drug for 13 days and still have terrible side effects. To give you some history, Sept. 2008, I went into the hospital with chest pains, spent the night with all the tests and ruled out a heart attack. Since childhood, I have always had moderate blood pressure but have been on meds for the past 7 years.
Avatar f tn possibly,, have you had your blood pressure checked recently? Some meds do raise the blood pressure in some users.... Id definatly have it checked.
