Then the doctor told me to take Atarax, but I didnt want to accept the fact that I had IC, so I went to another doctor who prescribed me the medication CELEBREX (1 per day for 10 days), because he said it would help with the inflammation in the bladder. Then out of the blue I was doing great !!! Every symptom disappeared and its been 40 days now and Im doing just great.... I feel healthy...!!! I dont know if it was the CELEBREX or the hydrodistention that helped but I was back at normal..
Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously.

I just got this diagnosed and the gave me a steroid shot in the inflammed area ...the dr also gave me a script for celebrex to keep inflammation down.....i really don't feel like taking these pills because of side effects....would it really be bad for the healing if i don't take them?
My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in ..
They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!
t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
I have been advised to take Celebrex or Topamax for headaches. Which treats headaches/migraines better? Which has had more success?
The surgeon takes me off any activity and back on celebrex to reduce the swelling. Why is it taking so long ? I was told i would be playin soccer again in 8 weeks at the longest. Anyone else have this experience? does it ever get better?
Hurts to touch or move torso , lifting arms up, or a deep breath at time! Taking Celebrex to reduce inflammation! Not really helping! Ice does help for a short time! I keep pressing on area, and may not be helping! What do you recommend trying?
Thanks for the advice. My orthopedist advised me to mobilize my left arm by slowly flexing and extending it to prevent stiffness. I don't have to apply ice anymore and the sling is for comfort only. Is it okay then not to use it all the time ? I felt heavy on this arm if I keep it as is without the sling. For inflammation, I'm taking Celebrex because I am allergic to all NSAIDS as Motrin, Alleve, Naprosyn, etc. although Celebrex is one of them but a Cox2 inhibitor.

Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.

Yes, RA factor can become negative after being positive. Mine has. I have been taking 2x200 mg of Celebrex a day. The rheumatologists that I see do not have a dx for me, but at least the Celebrex seems to be decreasing the swelling and pain in my joints.

My doctor, at the time, diagnosed with me with anxiety and shoulder inflammation and prescribed Lexapro and Celebrex. I noticed a bit of relief with the Celebrex, but did not continue taking it. Nine months after the start of the pain, I woke up in the middle of the night in the worst pain of my life (up to that point). Several minutes later I passed out for approximately one minute. One month later I passed out twice in one week for unknown reasons.
I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
Last week, I had a rash that was red, non-itchy, and looked like pin-points, this was all over (knees to shoulders). The physician did have me on Celebrex. Which I do know is a sulphamide and I am allergic to sulpha drugs, but in turn, the side effects to Celebrex also mentioned if a rash develops it could be related to liver disease...I was only on the Celebrex for 2 days, so I am still in the dark about the rash.

ve been on oxycodone for 3 days now, and today i went to my health doctor and he gave me a cortisone shot in my hip, and 6 pills of celebrex and told me to take them with the oxicodone at night for 6 nights.
my question is , how long does it take for the injection to do the job needed, 1 day 2 days???????
pls i need a answer i am realy going crazy from pain.
