Dear Doctor. Some days after start using Celebrex I noted a loss of vision in the central area of the vision in one eye. I cant read a letter that I was looking at, but I can see the letters in both sides of the letter I was looking. If I look with that eye to a white wall I can see a yellow circle sorrounding another smaller white circle.
Try liproxenol. I've tried it and it helped so much in my weight loss. Didn't experience any side effects either.

Two years ago I had my hearing tested by an ENT. He said I had 40% hearing loss and that it was probably genetic and I should check into hearing aids. I told him I can hear perfect after yawning but it only lasts for a few minutes. He said a lot of people say that.

One more note, I hope they use contrast with the MRI, other wise the MRI will have little diagnostic value.

After cold of 3-4 days, I observed problem of low hearing especially while chewing or eating food. Overall I feel hearing loss but while eating food, I can’t hear voice of person sitting next to me or television’s voice. As soon as chewing has finished voice is audible.

The ent I went to ordered an MRI and called to tell me that it showed nothing and just blew me off! He obviously is not taking my situation seriously. My doctor perscribes hydrocodone-Acetiminophen 5-500 for my severe neck tension and I take 1-1/2 almost every night. Never more than that. But, I noticed hearing seems to be dimmer in my left ear. She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.

Vertigo with loss of hearing can be of 'central' causes or 'peripheral' or 'vestibular' causes. The attempt might have been to rule out the serious central causes.
The vestibular causes affecting hearing and 'balance' can be a labyrinthitis, Menierre's disease etc. Steroids was given as salvage.
Hope you are not a hypertensive. How is your blood urea and sugar levels? Do you have any other medical condition? Are you on any medication for long periods now?
