celebrex for neuropathy

So were came the neuropathy? I did research on the web for side effect for the other med i was taking. And to my surprise Celebrex is a potential contributor to neuropathy. So i want to know, if any of you is suffering from neuropathic pain and are not diabetic and have used Celebrex for a long time? Until recently i was using Effexor and used it for 10 years, so i think the effexor was camouflaging my pain since they use it in neuropathy treatement.

I have terrible leg and thigh pain and take gabapentin for the neuropathy..this helps some..some days more than others. I have noticed when I take my celebrex(try not to use)..that the pain in my hips of course is less but also the thigh pain...so what I'm wondering does the inflamation in the hip joints radiate to the thighs????? this pain(thighs) somedays is excruciating. Any thoughts?

Fosamax is safe for liver patients. Celebrex in the short term (for a couple of weeks) should not be harmful. However, it is not something he wants me on for any length of time.

I took Celebrex for several years for joint pain due to Crohn's. I keep having bowel obstructions so I went to a new dr. He told me to stop taking the Celebrex and start taking a tylenol everyday. I have not had any more obstructions but I do still have some joint pain.

true, I was on celebrex for a short time and it did not work for me. I thought it was making even more edgy and did not help with my muscle & joint pain. I think just like everything else, it is different for different people. Good luck & welcome to the forum.

The tests you need to ask for are Free T3 and Free T4, which are actual thyroid hormones and TSH which is a pituitary hormone that stimulates the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones. Many doctors will only want to order the TSH - insist on the Free T3 and Free T4, as well.

Hi. Thank you for the time for helping me out here. For the past 10 years, I have had lower back pain as a dull ache when standing, sitting or sleeping. I also get sharp pain right at the top of my neck but I did not have an MRI done of the cervical spine.The pain started getting worse this year and going down my leg. I just got this diagnosed and the gave me a steroid shot in the inflammed area ...the dr also gave me a script for celebrex to keep inflammation down.....i really don't feel like taking these pills because of side effects....would it really be bad for the healing if i don't take them?

Hi Pat.. I have arthritic and take Celebrex for it... I don't like taking Celebrex, but really notice more pain when I don't take it. my knees, joints etc... so it's just another med I'm taking .. hope you feel better soon or find something to help with the pains I found out my gait is from sensory .. if that makes sense... I can't walk backward...can you? I also found it difficult to walk with my eyes closed.

Can I take two celebrex pills? They are 200mg. I still have some aches and it has been all ready about 4 hours ago I took 200mg.

Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?

Is there any way you can be over medicated with the enbrel and celebrex? For the fatigue I use vitamin B complex. This really helps me. Good luck and dont give up!

Dear Doctor. Some days after start using Celebrex I noted a loss of vision in the central area of the vision in one eye. I cant read a letter that I was looking at, but I can see the letters in both sides of the letter I was looking. If I look with that eye to a white wall I can see a yellow circle sorrounding another smaller white circle.
