celebrex

1155483 tn?1262432647 I see you are from Canada so your country may be different. Just a few of them remain in the USA, Toradol which is an older NSAID and Celebrex. There may be more but those two come to mind. Potent NSAIDs can have serious side effects with long term use. Some ppl never seem to have an issue with them while others do. My sister has been on Celebrex for years and seem to have no problem tolerating it. Darvon is not an effective pain reliever for chronic pain.

Avatar f tn We tried the Beta Blockers, the triptans, Amitriptaline, Antidepressants, Bio Feedback, Nerve Blocks, Cryogenic Therapy , celebrex, and the narcotics. Then I did the Chiari decompression, the laminectomy and a Occipital Neurectomy on the left and right. For two years I was pretty pain free, then for two more I was starting to get a bad migraine one to two a year, still pretty great. Then 2008.

Avatar n tn Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously. IMHO.
Avatar m tn I don't think it should be an issue, I took Celebrex and Morphine for an extended time with no issue. Ask your doctor about any concerns though.

Avatar n tn My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!
Avatar f tn Other combinations of pain killers with anti sickness medicines like domperidone and metoclopramide. The prescription medicines like triptans, rizatriptan and zolmitriptan come in various forms like nasal sprays, injections and tablets that dissolve on the tongue and can be used for you since nausea and vomiting is an issue. Prophylactic medicines like propranolol, pizotifen and valproate can be tried.
Avatar n tn I have contacted a couple of doctors and they said that this was temporary and the pain should subside relatively soon (within a week). But, the symptoms are progressing and sensitivity/pain is actually moving up from the injection site. I am weak and also suffering from constipation and difficulty in urinating. Everyone keeps telling me this is normal due to an increased volume at the injection site which is causing inflammation around the nerve.
Avatar f tn yes toradol does work. my last trip to the ER, i told them no narcotics(i still can't believe i did that) and they gave me a shot of toradol. i don't think it's something you can get an Rx for. ijust don't know. what i do know is that your brain will amplify any pain just to keep you in the game.somehow you must find something good to dwell on besides the pain. get moving as soon as possible. being occupied is good medicine for us. 6 days is great! be good to one another.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
548642 tn?1266179652 my gi didnt even know the dose to celebrex so i doubt he knows if its good to my liver! im telling yall hes stupid and i need to find a new dr asap!
Avatar f tn Hey Hopey. I was just prescribed Celebrex too!! I'm very anxious to see how well it helps b/c i have constant back pain and have tried several meds that haven't given ANY relief. I started the Celebrex today, 600 mgs. And will take 400 mgs/day after today. The dr DID say it can take a few days to start feeling relief from it.
Avatar m tn I have been on methotrexate and celebrex for at least 15 years, probably long. I am currently in a tremendous amount of pain in my fingers, elbows, shoulders, left knee and left hip. Volteran gel has not helped at all and neither has Aleve. Can I take tramadol with these two drugs? I have recently switched my insurance and am waiting to get into a new rheumatologist.
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
1254684 tn?1280006247 Toradol and other NSAID's should not be taken with your asthma...
Avatar m tn how long would it take for the drug Toradol injection to cause an allergic reaction in a person who have Asthma? and would it take the same amount of time in another person?
Avatar m tn iam Allergic to Aspirin i cant take anything with Aspirin in it and Toradol do have Aspirin in it. in other words i cant take any anti- inflammatory pain medicine.thanks for the information. it helped.
Avatar n tn Why can't I take toradol with ibuprofen? I've had a migraine for find days now, I've tried toradol, ibuprofen, Tylenol 1's, maxart, dexamethasone, and have been taking my oxyneos. In addition to my migraine I can't move anything above my hips, I'm going to have my husband drive me to the hospital at some point today. In the past I've tried morphine for my back and my head, it does nothing for the pain, just makes me sleep.
482543 tn?1248355421 I had been feeling better but the last 2 days it seems every major joint in my body is hurting so bad. Especially my ankles and wrists. It is like an aching and sharp stabbing pain. Celebrex is not even touching it. So yesterday I didn't take it and instead took my 2 Aleve that I had been taking and it seemed to help a little. I just don't know how long I can go on like this. This morning I really had to force myself to come into work.
2030769 tn?1343647674 Toradol works well for moderate pain and should be considered an alternative when faced with a temporary situation that could threaten anyone's clean time. I would never expect anyone to be a martyr because I'm not but I always suggest that members seek alternatives before going down a road that could lead to a dead end. There are always alternatives.
1402969 tn?1324690560 I would say avisg has it right. If you were in basic they wouldn't have given any opiate of any kind. They just wouldn't allow it without sending you to sick bay and in turn you would have been held back to the next cycle. Toradol is a strong nsaid that really does help. They do use it in private medicine. Just talk to your doctor and they will line it up. They also have it in pill form but I know when I had it prescribed the insurance questioned it and my doctor had to talk to them.
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
