celebrex

Avatar n tn Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously. IMHO.
Avatar f tn Avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays (sunlamps or tanning beds), especially if you are being treated for psoriasis. Methotrexate can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight and your psoriasis may worsen. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking methotrexate. So, I'm hoping you haven't had that glass of wine tonight and avoid drinking while you're on it.
Avatar m tn I don't think it should be an issue, I took Celebrex and Morphine for an extended time with no issue. Ask your doctor about any concerns though.
612038 tn?1220819239 I had infection which cause my psoriasis to pop out again. They prescribed Celebrex (100mg x 2 a day) and Voltaren (emulgel) but it never worked! I can't hardly sleep, while sleeping, my arm would contract, causing cramps. I would be forced to sit to relieve the pain. The pain lasted for 30 minutes, sometimes more... I took antibacterial (flucloxacillin), 4 days ago and I can feel that the cramps would only last for 10 minutes.
Avatar n tn My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.

Avatar f tn Hey Hopey. I was just prescribed Celebrex too!! I'm very anxious to see how well it helps b/c i have constant back pain and have tried several meds that haven't given ANY relief. I started the Celebrex today, 600 mgs. And will take 400 mgs/day after today. The dr DID say it can take a few days to start feeling relief from it.
Avatar m tn I have been on methotrexate and celebrex for at least 15 years, probably long. I am currently in a tremendous amount of pain in my fingers, elbows, shoulders, left knee and left hip. Volteran gel has not helped at all and neither has Aleve. Can I take tramadol with these two drugs? I have recently switched my insurance and am waiting to get into a new rheumatologist.
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
Avatar f tn Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.

Avatar f tn No, it would be unheard of for Celebrex to damage your heart valve. Celebrex and similar drugs do cause high blood pressure in many individuals, though. You might have gone forever and not known about the heart valve if you had not gotten high blood pressure from the Celebrex. Follow whatever advice the cardiologist gave you, and don't worry.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone could give me some information about any links between hepatitis C and psoriasis. I was diagnosed with Hep C 2 years ago (genotype 1a) and have not had any treatment. I recently have been diagnosed with psoriasis. Does Hepatitis C cause psoriasis?

Avatar n tn I have the same problem with my shoulder and did the steroid injection and am on celebrex. I completely understand your fears. I also didnt want to take the celebrex at first because of the scary side effects but in the end the benefits out weigh the risks. You need an antiinflammatory to speed the healing. It won't be needed long term.
Avatar n tn That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis. It is known that an overactive immune system can trigger a site of psoriasis, and imiquimod invokes an immune response to have cytotoxins destroy skin cells. So now.... retinoid treatments are not helping, and the only other main treatment for psoriasis are corticosteroids which if I'm not mistaken are immunosuppressants lol..... are they not?
Avatar m tn 2 times and less than 3 times the upper limit of normal) of liver associated enzymes was 6% for CELEBREX and 5% for placebo, and approximately 0.2% of patients taking CELEBREX and 0.3% of patients taking placebo had notable elevations of ALT and AST. A patient with symptoms and/or signs suggesting liver dysfunction, or in whom an abnormal liver test has occurred, should be monitored carefully for evidence of the development of a more severe hepatic reaction while on therapy with CELEBREX.
1667344 tn?1303311751 Can I take two celebrex pills? They are 200mg. I still have some aches and it has been all ready about 4 hours ago I took 200mg.
Avatar f tn Celebrex is a NSAID... for some it may be ok and others not..largely depends on the condition of your liver and other health factors that the prescribing doctor should be aware of ... here is a past discussion on pain meds. Avatar f tn Naproxen is just ibuprofen, which is Motrin and Aleve. I would think Celebrex would help a lot more than Naproxen. It can't hurt to ask for it. Naproxen didn't do anything for me, except hurt my stomach. The Celebrex helped a lot, right away.
Avatar m tn I have had many specific bloodtests and saw many doctors over the last few weeks. The only answer I was given was Psoriasis and dry skin. I believe this is more than just dry skin and Psoriasis.
