My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!

I am 47 years old was diagnosed with IBS years ago then acid reflux and delayed stomach emptying. I take reglan 1/2 hour before a meal eat nothing spicy or greasy. take aciphex daily which is very expensive and bentyl 3 times a day for bloating and still can not manage the gas and bloating I also take a lot of gas-X with little help. Milk seems to help some all other tests have come back negative.

I use ibuprofen daily most of the time for a torn meniscus in my left knee that I had surgery on and I have arthritis too. I also take it for a herniated disc (L-5) and ankle pain. I have acid reflux disease and esophagus problems as well. Is it safe to take all this Ibuprofen with the stomach problems I have, or should I talk to my Dr. about possibly prescribing another medication? i am having so severe side effects from my med mainy celebrex i have had an heart test and was seen as early polarization , diagnosed with chronic gastrointestinal reflux and have skin rash and legions . i am thinking of a claim against them . but in the main time i dont want my doctors to feel bad as they have been with me since my early twenties.

If not have you ever tried I forgot the name of it but it is called the purple pill for acid reflux, I know some meds cause me to have acid reflux and it feels like severe cramping in my stomach, it hurts. Try looking that up to see if acid reflux is the cause. Hope it gets better and you find something that will help.

She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.

Can you take nexium one day and Prevacid the next? I am struggling to find something to help stop the burning in my chest and back. I started on Prilosec 4 years ago for GERD. When that didn't cover it, I was switched to Nexium. Then my primary switched me to Protonix 40 mg/daily. That worked for the last year. I tried taking Celebrex for a hip problem and that threw my reflux into overdrive! It's been 6 weeks and I can't get the flare under control.

The last 1 was flax seed, i took a capsule and instantly had a bout of acid reflux. I didnt take flax for 2 days and felt great. Just took a capsule and the acid reflux is back. Although its reported that flax is goid for acid reflux i dont think it applies to all.

my son has acid reflux he's now 28 month and his medications for it are domperidone x4, omeprazole x2 and infant gaviscone he's due to go into hospital for a feeding peg and his doctor has recommended having another proceedure at the same time to help with his reflux does anyone know if this proceedure works and are there any draw backs?

What do you ladies take for acid reflux? I'm 31 weeks and a few days and the past three weeks I've been waking up from a dead sleep vomiting from acid reflux. It gets up into my nose. The lining of my throat is burning. I have a cold right now too and asthma so vomiting and coughing is literally killing my throat. I just woke up from sleeping and threw up so badly I peed my pants. I'm so over this. I cant have Zantac because I'm super allergic.

My baby girl had acid reflux and she spit up all night. If she isn't spitting up and she isn't crying like it is bothering/hurting her I wouldn't worry. Easier said than done I know but if you really are worried call your pediatrician's office and speak to a nurse. Has your mother tried a gluten and dairy free diet. If she is reacting to gluten and or dairy both can cause acid reflux and abdominal problems. If she has has the blood test for Celiacs and it came back negative, that does not mean much since the test is not very sensitive. There is also a endoscopy to look for Celiacs but sometimes even this can miss it. Also has anyone tested her thyroid? If so what were the results because the ranges are wrong.

I explained I was getting worse and that now I had an inflamed palate sore throat, and burning chest. Stress is also a major cause of ulcers and acid reflux. I have paid attention lately that when I am not aware of my condition the symptoms are not as bad. Could that be my imagination?

I have been noticing changes in my voice like I can't sing or hit a different pitch without my voice changing. My voice seems "irritated". My ent dr looked down my throat with a scope and said my throat was irritates behind my vocal cords and said since I don't smoke it is acid reflux. He placed me on Prilosec and I have been on this for almost 2 months and I don't seem better. Is there something better I should try? Or could my voice changing be caused by something else?

See and Internist. Ask about taking Malic Acid with your meals and taking Digestive Enzymes just after. Your gerd may really be due to a lack of acid and or enzyme production. Then ask to try to be weened off the antacids. Good Luck!

That was the only thing that helped me and I had heartburn/acid reflux every day so bad I actually kept a bottle in the house and in our vehicle so I never was without it no matter where we were at! They sell it at Walmart in tabs or liquid.

Hello I'm 36 weeks and I have acid reflux so so bad it's making me miserable, I have it all day and night every day is there anything I can take for it I don't go to my doctor until Tuesday and I can't stand it anymore

m 29 weeks and had bad acid reflux with my first pregnancy and now again with this one, pretty much 90% of whatever I eat gives me it! I hate it! But I don't take anything ever while pregnant, I'm paranoid like that lol! Just can't wait to be done so it can go away hopefully!

I took it for the last 3 to 4 months Of my first pregnancy and it never went away and so when I got pregnant again I took it and get bad and the Dr said 2 a day was safe and so here I am baby 3 and taking it and all my babies are fine :-D take a Zantac don't struggle.

I had acid reflux on and off ,for about three months. The last time ,about a month and a half ago. I have no more reflux , but my throat kept burning and hurting. I went to the doctor, and was told to take clariton 10mg. at night , before bedtime, and prilosec 20mg. in the morning. I have taken both for 4 days and have no symptoms now. Should I keep taking them? I;ve also changed my eating habits and dont eat right before bedtime, and dont eat spicy foods.

Please anybody I'm desperate I left my tums at home and I have bad acid reflux and can't go back to sleep is there anything I can eat that will help soothe it I'm so uncomfortable and can't get to a store right now
