I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

Hello - I was recently prescribed Cefpodoxime for gonorrhea 200 mg tabs every 12 hours for two days along with doxycycline 100 mg two times a day for seven days. I am traveling so a ceftriaxone shot wasn’t a possibility. I am having a tough time finding any info on Cefpodoxime for gonorrhea. Can you give me your opinion on the efficacy of these antibiotics for treating gonorrhea?
Doctor has given a medical prescription which is "Cefpodoxime Proxetil Oral Suspension IP" CCL Dry Syrup..I assume its a Antiboitic...Is this treatment is good enough to proceed??
m doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme. we know there is nothing here to treat the cyst form of lyme but the Dr. didn't want to put me on any more medicines at this time.

for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things. is the vertigo/dizziness normal with these infections and how long until I can expect some relief from this medication?

I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir. I realize I am only day 3 but my throat hurts worse than it did to begin with. I'm having trouble swallowing and have a consistent stabbing pain in my throat. I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.
whoops typo Cefdinir or Omaicef also on Minocycline and nystatin. Thanks I hadn't heard about the lemon or baking soda in epsom salt bath.
