cefdinir kidney infection

I researched online and was 100% sure I had a kidney infection. I was tight on money so I got Cipro from a friend. On day five of the antibiotic I still felt ill. I went to the ER for same day tests. They said my urine was "contaminated" since I was already on antibiotics. They said to keep taking it and maybe slept wrong. I took it for seven days. I started feeling better and went on a hike, it was hard on my body and I was exhausted.

Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. Is Cipro as effective as other antibiotics for dental infection?

I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.

was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things.

I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared. My original symptoms were gone so I didn't bother taking the rest of the antibiotic. (I know, my fault). Now three days I went back to the doctor and explained my symptoms and that I didn't finish the amoxicillin. I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir.

i took him to the dr tuesday and he had a double ear infrceion. she put him on CEFDINIR and said there was a 5% chance hed have reation and wednesday (after 3 doses) he broke out in an awful rash. just like he did when he was 11 months old from the penicillin,. he is 2 and a half now. I took him to the dr and we stopped the medicine and i began the 4-6 hrs of benadryl i just want to know how long will he continue to break out? he goes between 6-8 hours and then will break out.

s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.

Anyone here had a kidney infection before? What helps for pain? And how long does the pain normally last??

So i have a kidney infection. They gave me eds for 14 days. If this dorsnt work she said i would be put into the hospital. I am totally freaking out and my back is still hurting. I am 26 weeks and 2 days. Any ideas on what i should do to help prevent the hospital?! Is cranberry juice good to dribk and water?!

ive been put on antibiotics for uti ubtil i gwt my results but im worried its a kidney infection...I knew kidney infections can be deadly in pregnancy...is this true? Im freaking out...

Yes any type of infection can hurt the baby if not treated u really need to go to ur Ob/gyn and get checked to find out what u have and get treated

I ended up in even more pain Saturday evening and they admitted me and finally realized it was a kidney infection. I spent from Saturday night until Wednesday afternoon. I was on iv antibiotics and iv fluids the whole time. I was discharged with instructions for modified bed rest and had to take macrobid the rest of my pregnancy to avoid it reoccurring. I ended up having my son at 35 weeks.

I have looked at symptoms of kidney infection and the only part that fits is the throbbing back pain. No fever, no nausea or vomiting, chills. I am fatigued, but I haven't been sleeping well because if the throbbing pain. I have been drinking plenty of fluids, cranberry juice and lots of water. I hate to waste the money on another doctor visit if they are just going to give me a muscle relaxer for back pain.

A kidney infection is just the result of an untreated bladder infection. I had a kidney infection two years ago and it was awful. The medication you get should knock it out if it is an infection, or stronger ones if it doesn't work.
