Avatar n tn AND... follow a lower carb diet. Carbs can make you feel sick and get the runs if your taking Metformin. I am taking 1500mg, 500mgs 3xs a day. Always with food or milk. Did your DR prescribe folic acid with that. I'm taking 4 - 1mg tabs aday. When I was taking it in the morning with the Metformin I would feel sicker. I started taking th folic acid with my metformin at night with dinner and would feel sick.

[He does recommend use of sugar alternatives / artificial sweeteners, which I strongly disagree with / I think better to avoid both sugar and artificial sweeteners. But other than that I think his advice and approach is worth considering].

Avatar n tn Maybe look into changing from low fat, to low carb diet. Low carb diet helps some - definitely has helped me where no other diet has. make sure your levels are optimal, as well.
Avatar n tn I see people using sub to detox off of 100 mgs of hydro use a day...do not see the point in that one....u can not erase the inevitable...u r gonna have to pay the price at some time i have learned and am glad i started posting on this forum before i quit to become educated on all this..I have never used methadone so i cant give an educated opinion on how to detox...skippy did it and so did feomonn without sub...this is all i know...

Add strength training in the evening & your BG could see am improvement in the morning. Also adjust your diet based on your numbers. Remove refined sugars & high carb foods. Switch to lower carb options. I've been eating Tomaro low carb wraps for breakfast instead of bread.

Avatar f tn e have smaller portions of potatoes, rice, bread...instead go for better carb options like brown rice, rye bread etc and keep the portions small of these small). Increase your vegetable portions and meat protein if you're not vegetarian. Ive noticed my levels spike when I have too much starch at one meal, so now I really have to watch it. Its annoying but they're forcing the issue, so I guess I have to accept it.
