carb

Avatar f tn If you have a smartphone, such as a Blackberry. You can download it as an app and enter in the foods you have eaten as you go. I know there are a lot of other calorie counters out there but I've been most impressed with this one. Easy and quick to use. Try it out and see if it works for you.
Avatar n tn I use the sweet bee carb counter it lists 200 top foods and their carb and glucose level
Avatar f tn I keep a bowl of sliced radishes, celery, carrots, etc sitting on the counter most of the time, so whenever I walk by, I can grab a few slices to munch on. This keeps me from being so hungry at meal time. I also keep a large tumbler of iced lemon water on the counter and I sit at that whenever I walk by, as well. Drinking water keeps me hydrated and helps keep me fuller. And of course, there's always exercise.
Avatar m tn Dr. W. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "fat and happy." Well, it's not just folklore. The same carbs that make you fat (and contribute to diabetes and other problems) also make you happy. It's simple science: Carbs allow more of the amino acid L-tryptophan to penetrate your brain. The L-tryptophan triggers your brain to make more serotonin, and the serotonin makes you feel happier. It's as simple as that!
290867 tn?1333569278 I see you have a app for the iphone but I would like one for my blackberry!!!! Is this a possibility??
Avatar f tn The South Beach program also has a low-carb version of their diet. In my opinion, both the paleo diet and the low-carb version of the South Beach diet are low-carb diets that are very healthy. Good luck.
Avatar f tn ve looked up nutritional info at many of the restaurants and I can find carb info for most of the fast food places but not so much for other places. How do you figure out the carbs for your smaller restaurants?
Avatar f tn I am 45. Discovered I had cateract in both eyes and had a panic moment and decided to have surgery. The first surgery was the eye that was the worst of the two. I didn't have any major issues, but I also was NOT at all sedated just numbed (they "forgot" to do the sedation) and in two weeks my vision was clear as far as shapes and colors but I could no longer wear my normal reading glasses and ended up getting readers.
10947 tn?1281404252 Unfortunately, it is not available on Blackberry and only available on the iPhone or iPod Touch. We don't have any plans to make a Blackberry app at this time. We plan on continuing with iPhone apps and Android apps. Blackberry just isn't as popular with our users as iPhones and Android phones. You can, however, access the mobile version of MedHelp on a smartphone browser. You can try this by going to medhelp.org (or m.medhelp.org) on your Blackberry browser.
10947 tn?1281404252 Hi there, I love your application for Ovulation trackers, but I wish wish wish you had this app for Blackberry phones (since I use the Ovulation tracker on your website and need it for my phone). I tried (unsuccessfully) to load that app onto my phone with a third party sync program to see if I could use the app, but sadly I could not.
Avatar n tn A well balanced diet will keep anyone healthy. The best foods for him are the same foods that are good for you. However, lower carb foods can help prevent highs. What a diabetic needs to understand about food is that to accurately count the carbohydrates in the food is essential. If you need help figuring out carbs, Calorie King has an excellent book which lists carbs for most foods and restaurants. http://www.calorieking.
Avatar n tn What kind of dr. are you seeing? A primary or an endocrinologist? I stopped seeing primaries cuz they seem to be dumb when it comes to these things. I am sure they are educated in it and know the information... but they don't seem to have time for them. My newest primary actually told me to see an endocrinologist because he didn't want to steer me wrong. When I had gestational diabetes before Type 2... my lows overnight also would reach upper 40's and low 50's.
6665798 tn?1385627441 I see on other forums that there is a daily "whats for dinner" post. I think its fun and can take our minds off the nitty gritty of pregnancy and its complications.... im craving Asian food real bad at the moment so my dinner will be sweet chilli chicken mince with coriander and coconut rice. Yes, its 9am right now where I live lol but at least Im preparing myself lol...
Avatar f tn I do have the pregnancy app for my profile. I am looking for one for my Blackberry.
Avatar f tn Yes.... its just called "medhelp",...... I think maybe blackberry does have it... search it.. =) its ok... hopefully someone lets me know lol.
Avatar n tn s mother you might want to ask her the next time the child goes to the doctor to pick you up a carb counter booklet. Or you can call the doctor yourself, not knowing the details of the arrangements this might be better. Getting to know what the child likes to eat will help alot! You also might want to see if you and your husband can take the child to his next appointment. If that's possible then you can talk with the doctor and/or the nurse to see what you can do to help.
Avatar n tn The chicken is fine as it is protein, but the corn and the plaintains are quite high in carbs for a portion. Its a starchy vegetable. Check the glycemic index or a carb counter book. You can find this info online. I love corn also, just dont have it to often anymore.
Avatar f tn I am not sure there is medication specifically for depression that can be bought over the counter. I have tried St John's Wort and 5HTP, and think they are the only ones apart from supplements that are supposed to help. Also tried Kalm, and Quiet Days. None of them effective for me really.
2075937 tn?1334884194 And for the over the counter kind I've heard to get the 7 day
518798 tn?1295212279 It is OUR job to cancel but I have already told them NOT to add anything. As for the blackberry it is too small numbers and all and i refuse to put on my bifocals to see the phone. I barely know how to turn mine off and on. My kids text me and i want to ring their necks!!!! have to get my glasses on to see the message. I could read the alphabet on a ants butt a mile away but not up close!!!!! I need a phone the size of my beagle!!!!!
Avatar n tn I'm referring to the blue lines on the reports or graphs. They don't reflect the totals I set up on my profile. For example, my preference for calories is 1200, but the blue line on the report or graph is still showing on 2000 calories. I think it would be more effective if these lines adjusted to the amounts I set in my preferences. It would be easier to see how I was doing without actually looking too carefully at the numbers.
193609 tn?1292180293 This is just my opinion here, but carbs are not the enemy when it comes to weight loss. At least they don't have to be. I've never been into the whole low carb craze and always knew it would be a way of life I would never be able to stick with for the rest of my life. Personally, I have anywhere in the mid to late 100's and sometimes even well into the low 200g carbs a day and have for the last year and a half and yet I've lost 165 lbs.
