Common Questions and Answers about Can you use pataday twice a day

pataday

Avatar n tn i went to the doctors yesterday and after i did some research on the two drops you mentioned and i found patanol eye drops here on prescription in australia, which contains the same active ingredient as pataday drops just in a two drops twice a day method because its only 1mg not 2.22mg like pataday, i have done 2 doses of the drops and on my lord they are awesome! the redness has settled right down much quicker than in the past!
Avatar m tn I believed it was pink eye and when i went to the doctor they prescribed Pataday as well as some other drops i would apply 4 times a day. My eyes got better and i did not wear my contacts at all. They said to only put your contacts in after 2 days of my eyes bein completely white . Weeks passed and i did that. Then i noticed my eyes started getting red again. Not itchy or hurting just red. So about 3 weeks later i got checked out again.
Avatar f tn Not normally. Wait a few days and use another pg test. I have heard that the ovulation tests can be positive in very ealry pregnancy since they detect hormones in smaller amounts. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Try oral flaxseed oil 1000mg twice a day by mouth. Try a once a day allergy drop like Pataday. Try punctal plugs to help with dry eye. Finally try out of the contacts for a month or so - if the redness improves then it may indeed be the contacts or solution that are to blame. Then you can go about trying different contacts and solutions.
Avatar m tn I have very sensitive skin and use only products made for a sensitive skin individuals, but in my case, the cornors of my eye itching like mad nothing helps me but those Pataday drops. Just like the blepheritis. There can be many causes but for many folks it is jsut something they live with and control with there are flareups, but those of affected with it have to learn to live with it. In my case I have to use a steroid ointment.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with GPC and recently ended the use of steroid drops. Ever since I've stoped the steroid drops, I've woken up with crusty, glued eyes. Could the lingering GPC be causing this? I've been doing artificial tears multiples times a day and Pataday drops 2x a day. I have a follow up appointment soon, I'm thinking about trying to move it up if this is something serious.
Avatar f tn The drops have helped, but I still have symptoms, especially when I work on my computer. I returned to my optician for lens adjustments twice. I am still having a lot of difficulty. My optician says it has nothing to do with my new glasses, but it seems too coincidental. Help!
Avatar n tn Neither is specific for dry eyes. pataday is a once/day allergy eye drop and Xibrom is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory. If your problems are truely dry eyes you would do better with frequent artifical tears, a lubricating gel at bedtime, oral fish oil (2-4 enteric coated/day) and if moderate or severe then a 6 month trial of Restasis.
Avatar n tn Neither Maxitrol or tobradex are good choice for allergic conjunctivitis. Both often irritate the eye and have harseh preservatives in them. You would best use a good artificial tear: Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
Avatar f tn I got antibiotic steroid eye drops and used them for 10 days. I also was prescribed Pataday once a day before bed, and I use over the counter Alaway once or twice during the day, too. The eczema went away, but bags didn't completely go away but they improved. Every few days I use SteriLid in the shower to make sure my eyes and lashes are completely clean, and I never use gel eye drops anymore, only preservative free tear drops for moisturizing if needed.
Avatar f tn I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.
Avatar f tn I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
Avatar n tn As I said in the earlier postings, GPC whether due to contact lens (most cases) or no contact lens (rare) is not going to clear up in a week, even if on steroids. If available to you get a second opinion if you are not better after 2 weeks on ssteroid drops.
Avatar f tn Well you cannot reuse a hpt and get accurate results. You can be pregnant, but try using a new hpt. Bleeding in early pregnancy is common. I'm 6 weeks along and had spotting (only once when I wiped)... so it could be that you are pregnant.
Avatar f tn t tell if it has added to already existing discomfort. Have beenn Restasis, Alrex , Pataday and now Muro ointment. I see a well known Corneaologist and he wants me to have the Amniotic Membrane Transplant especially now that I have developed the eye cysts. I don't know what to do -- wld like other opinions on this procedure and its history on long term resolution of Conjunctivochalsis. Also, are my cornea issues related to the extended use of Restasis? Alrex & Pataday?
Avatar n tn Try Zaditor eye drops over the counter in USA.
Avatar n tn pdf I think when you read the new scientist article, you get the impression that you can ovulate twice, but that second article basically says women get waves of follicular development, but only one wave results in ovulation. Thanks for the reply.
Avatar f tn The bridge of my nose, inner corners of my eyes and below my eyes along the side of my nose itch 24 hours a day. The itching is extremely intense. This began four years ago. Allergy eye drops plus steroid drops have helped a bit, but my ophthalmologist wants me to end the steroid drops so I have already started cutting back to only one drop a day, rather than two. The itching is already become unbearable.
Avatar f tn That's a lot of Xyzal. I take 5mg/day and it's the most beneficial antihistamine I've ever taken. I've taken 10mg before and it knocked me out...lol. If I feel I need more antihistamine, I add Benadryl, but it's not often that I need to do that. My answer: I've heard of people taking 10mg/day for hives and severe itching. I'm not sure how the dosing would be, but I can't imagine taking that much of it in the morning/daytime because it's so sedating.
