Pataday twice a day

Common Questions and Answers about Pataday twice a day

pataday

Avatar n tn i went to the doctors yesterday and after i did some research on the two drops you mentioned and i found patanol eye drops here on prescription in australia, which contains the same active ingredient as pataday drops just in a two drops twice a day method because its only 1mg not 2.22mg like pataday, i have done 2 doses of the drops and on my lord they are awesome! the redness has settled right down much quicker than in the past!
Avatar m tn I believed it was pink eye and when i went to the doctor they prescribed Pataday as well as some other drops i would apply 4 times a day. My eyes got better and i did not wear my contacts at all. They said to only put your contacts in after 2 days of my eyes bein completely white . Weeks passed and i did that. Then i noticed my eyes started getting red again. Not itchy or hurting just red. So about 3 weeks later i got checked out again.
Avatar f tn The drops have helped, but I still have symptoms, especially when I work on my computer. I returned to my optician for lens adjustments twice. I am still having a lot of difficulty. My optician says it has nothing to do with my new glasses, but it seems too coincidental. Help!
Avatar m tn Hi. I was wondering if i could use Pataday if i have ocular herpes? Are there any risks that i should be aware of when using Pataday?
Avatar n tn I had an upper and lower blepharaplasty on March 16th and in the beginning of June developed a blister in the corner of my left eye. I was given steroids which raised my eye pressure too high and did not work. It sometimes gets really red and hurts all of the time. I went to an opthamologist and and eye surgeon and no one has a cure. The glands in the inner corner of my eyes right below my brows have a little tiny round hard objects too. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
Avatar n tn Try Zaditor eye drops over the counter in USA.
Avatar f tn I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
Avatar n tn Try oral flaxseed oil 1000mg twice a day by mouth. Try a once a day allergy drop like Pataday. Try punctal plugs to help with dry eye. Finally try out of the contacts for a month or so - if the redness improves then it may indeed be the contacts or solution that are to blame. Then you can go about trying different contacts and solutions.
Avatar n tn Hi...I have never heard of that med, but in research see it is used for reflux and gerd jut like the meds I am aware of. The dr will RX meds for the mgs and dosage ( times per day) per ur symptoms and how much healing u need.....I am on a gerd med and take it twice a day..... If u also modify ur diet and lifestyle u may heal a bit faster and be able to cut back on teh dosage faster.
Avatar m tn I am not a doctor, but a patient. I suffer from the exact same thing with the inside corner of my eye driving me crazy at times it itches so bad. What has helped me is Rx eye drops called Pataday. It is for itchy allergy eyes, and sometimes I put a drop or two on the end of a q-tip and dab it in that corner of my eye and sometimes I put the drop directly into the eye. Works wonders. Whether it is allergy or irritation of some sort, the drops take the itch away for me.
Avatar n tn Neither is specific for dry eyes. pataday is a once/day allergy eye drop and Xibrom is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory. If your problems are truely dry eyes you would do better with frequent artifical tears, a lubricating gel at bedtime, oral fish oil (2-4 enteric coated/day) and if moderate or severe then a 6 month trial of Restasis.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with GPC and recently ended the use of steroid drops. Ever since I've stoped the steroid drops, I've woken up with crusty, glued eyes. Could the lingering GPC be causing this? I've been doing artificial tears multiples times a day and Pataday drops 2x a day. I have a follow up appointment soon, I'm thinking about trying to move it up if this is something serious.

Avatar f tn t tell if it has added to already existing discomfort. Have beenn Restasis, Alrex , Pataday and now Muro ointment. I see a well known Corneaologist and he wants me to have the Amniotic Membrane Transplant especially now that I have developed the eye cysts. I don't know what to do -- wld like other opinions on this procedure and its history on long term resolution of Conjunctivochalsis. Also, are my cornea issues related to the extended use of Restasis? Alrex & Pataday?
Avatar f tn I got antibiotic steroid eye drops and used them for 10 days. I also was prescribed Pataday once a day before bed, and I use over the counter Alaway once or twice during the day, too. The eczema went away, but bags didn't completely go away but they improved. Every few days I use SteriLid in the shower to make sure my eyes and lashes are completely clean, and I never use gel eye drops anymore, only preservative free tear drops for moisturizing if needed.
Avatar n tn Neither Maxitrol or tobradex are good choice for allergic conjunctivitis. Both often irritate the eye and have harseh preservatives in them. You would best use a good artificial tear: Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
1134609 tn?1269272200 Does the regular Seroquel have to be taken twice a day? I take my morning dose and cannot stay awake; it's getting frustrating. If have I have to take it twice a day, does the drowsiness in the morning wear off after awhile?
Avatar m tn I have sort of an odd question. For the past 2 years or so, my right upper eyelid looks a bit swollen. It isn't tender to the touch or anything, it just looks a tiny bit swollen compared to the left eye. Now here is where I want to mix it up a bit. My fiance (She's Female, I am Male) has allergies, and she is constantly wiping her eyes and rubbing them. I would say that one of her eyelids is more swollen than the other as well.
Avatar n tn I spoke with one of the doctors here the other day about a dry eye problem. I went to my eye doc and vision was 20/25 in both eyes with glasses of course and that is even with my wet, now dry AMD. GOOD I thought He said my eyes were very dry and it looked like the redness, itchy, fuzzy vision, and dryness was from allergies. He gave me 2 different drops and said we could try these to see if it helped or if the symptoms returned after I stopped using them, there were Pataday and Xibrom.
Avatar f tn I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had leaky eyes after rezoom implants. I had the implants for a few years. Now I can not clear up leaky eyes. Tried everything. I've been on Pataday and nothing helps.
Avatar f tn However about a year ago, whilst visiting a friend, I woke to an itchy eyelid, not much , just a little red patch and itchy. I thought I had been bitten in the night, it didn't amount to anything and cleared up. Several months later, it happened again - I woke to find a slight red patch on my eyelid which on standing up, literally filled up with fluid as I watched and just got bigger for a number of hours! Usually lasts all day and has almost gone down on day 2.
