I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution. I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair.

t know what to do.. should I try Monday Wednesday Friday propecia? I heard there is a 5mg propecia pill you can take once a week.. can that keep my ED at bay maybe? Can once a week maybe twice propecia keep my hair but my ED away? I don't get why this is happening to me now.. But what if that starts up my ED again.. what if that ruins the recovery I've been making off the pill.. I don't want permanent ED.. I'm only 22.. I don't want to lose my hair either..
Age of 24, take propecia. My sexual desire dropped, no morning erections, and my ejaculate volume noticeably decreased. After a month, and a horrible sexual experience, I through out my propecia. Now 30, don’t get morning erections. Rarely wake up and find my penis a bit enlarged....but this is a rare event. My sexual desire has greatly diminished, and if it was a 10 before propecia, I would say it’s now a 5.

Erectile dysfunction can develop in young adults due to a variety of causes. Psychological stress, performance anxiety, depression, neurogenic disorders peyronie's disease, body image issues, medications, alcohol, smoking, drugs/medications, hormonal imbalance, radiation therapy, kidney failure, metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, prostatitis, urethritis etc. just to name a few.
Thank you all for your opinions I really do appreciate it, I will have a chat with the gastro next week and take it from there .Its difficult sometimes as one doctor will tell you something different to the next . I know its only hair but it is important to feel good about yourself . I think I will wait for teleprevir anyway next year hopefully , 6 months has to much better than a year of treatment regarding all side effects .
Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Treatment is tough and in the big scheme of things hair loss is the least of your worries. I know as young man of 32 it's difficut to understand that but it's very true.
Obviously, you want to be on the prednisone for as short a time as possible to avoid long term side effects. However, NOT being on it is sometimes not an option.
Everyone is different and can/will react to medications differently - and the side effects that one person experiences may not affect someone else with the same medication and dosage. So, unfortunately, it' simpossible for someone to tell you how long you can be on th eprednisone before side effects starting taking their toll.
My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated. My imagination or the sight of an attractive girl doesn't do it like it did prior to taking the drug. I don't feel aroused or want sex hardly ever.
There is really no pain upon ejaculation, only the feeling of a slight buildup due to the thickness of the semen. I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case.
5 mg for one year and 1 mg for 1 year till today), In october 2016 my derm put me on accutane 10 mg and minoxiline(100mg) for treating my mild acne, I had been drinking heavily for 5 days before starting my accutane course, 10 days into the course, I started to have Gyno(Unilateral, right breast with a movable tender lump), I dropped accutane and minoxiline and also propecia after 23 days. It has been a month now but my Gyno hasnt reduced, I restarted propecia as I was starting to lose hair.
Okay so I am indeed 15, but have a problem that has been concerning me for a while. Essentially, I cannot get hard or masturbate at all. I want to, but I simply can't and I'm very worried. Obviously, this is an even bigger hindrance regarding girls as I can't perform in any way whatsoever. I don't take drugs or anything of the sorts, I'm just a typical teenage guy. It is perhaps better absorbed than the synthetic folic acid, but as it comes in the already methylated form, you can take too much and can suffer some side effects, so take care here. The main reason this has become a thing is the discovery of a large number of people who have genetic defects that make it hard for the body to convert B12, B6 and folic acid to their methylated form, but most people with this defect don't actually have this problem. Some do.
