869568 tn?1248372915 Hello! I have had a cold for the past 4 weeks and did not want to take anything. Well, I was sick and tired of being sick so my doctor told me to take plain Sudafed and Robetussen DM and see if it helps. When they finally kick in, it works. I just wondered, though, has anyone else taken these meds while pregnant?
Avatar f tn I started the meds approximately a week ago. I was told the Phen would give me all of this energy and that the Metformin would keep me in the bathroom a lot until my body adjusted, but I have had neither really. The first couple of days on the Phen I had a boost of energy, which I loved, but it quickly faded. I am now constantly tired, no matter how much sleep I get. From what I've researched fatigue can be a side effect of both medicines.
2208803 tn?1339152974 yes, I am obese for my height, weight & age... I taken phen & hcg before and didn't have a problem with it. At the time, I wasn't determined as I am now, because i've gained more weigh. Someone recommended a prescription of a sugar blocker, I wanted to know has anyone taking any along with Phen?
Avatar f tn I swear by Zinc losengers with echinacea and vitamin C for my colds. They work great and are all completely natural immune boosters as well as stuff your body needs anyway. Just watch to take the recommended amount on the bottle for it can cause a deficiency in other minerals your body needs.
Avatar n tn Between December 2002 and October 2005, 189 non-diabetic patients were treated with Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba, of whom five developed type 1 DM (2.6%), three type 2 DM (1.6%) and one an indeterminate type of DM. Classical symptoms of DM were present in three patients who developed DM shortly after cessation of Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba. In the other patients, symptoms of DM were either indistinguishable from side effects caused by Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba or absent.
198504 tn?1195158059 They all seem to have a diet version diet that use artificial sweeteners and that will bring your calorie count alot. However, I would still advise not using it with the phen. People say the phen gives them NRG. Perhaps if you find you need more after a week or so on the phen, I would suggest you just drink a little at first and see what happens before driking an entire can. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn You can take mucinex, robitussin, vapor rub.. Tylenol for pain.. cough drops..
11215421 tn?1424926798 I had bronchitis for 2 weeks last month and before I knew and got antibiotics from my doc he said only to take robitussin that had no matters after it (dm etc.) and benedryl.
Avatar n tn By May I gained 3lbs, and Phen-phen (30mg) was added to my regimen. By mid-June I gained another 2lbs, and my doctor took me off the Levothyroxine. I am seeing a nutritionist, still on the Phen-phen, and a daily Vitamin B shots. By July 23rd, gained 2.4 lbs; no longer on Levothyroxine, still seeing the nutritionists and I am back to being extremely fatigue, lightheaded, chronic itchness, and not focused(it seems as my brain and mouth are at a disconnect). My life has been turned outside down.

Avatar f tn My doctor told me I can take robitussin DM for my cold. Is robitussin cough+Chest congestion DM the same thing?
Avatar f tn My 4 year old has developed a pretty nasty cough for the past 3 days, and everything I have in my house doesn't seem to be helping him. I have tried Triaminic Cold and Cough, which didnt work, and then Robitussin DM for cough and chest congestion, which isn't working either. He can't take childrens mucinex because it makes him vomit. Do any of you mommies know what I can possibly try that can help his cough? He isn't running a fever, or have any other symptoms.
Avatar m tn I had been suffering froming allergic phenomenon since I was 17 years old.During the last 6 years,I had been looking for the solution to ruduce the impact and tend to find the logic of PATM phenomenon. This days,I have some break—through discoveries that may uncover the principle of a kind of PATM.My PATM phenomenon is intensely related to my mind.when I thought something painfully, the allergic phen— become serious.
Avatar f tn what can I do for a cold? Like is there anything that I can take? I'm so sick!
Avatar n tn I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. This includes phentermine (Adipex, Fastin, etc) and/or fenfluramine (Pondimin)." What does it matter if I have taken this? I haven't taken fen-phen, but I have and do occasionally take phentermine?
Avatar f tn Thank you both for the info. Yesterday was only the 2nd day I was on the meds. I think I had an allergic reaction to the hydrochlorothizide. I had these bumps on my face and lip that looked like I had spider bites. I took benadryl and it went away. I am not going to take the hydrochlorothiazide today. If I don't get a reaction then I know it was that and I won't continue with it. If I still get it from the phentermine, I will stop taking it altogether.

Avatar f tn Can you please recommend which Vitamin C supplement product to buy for my toddler girl of 16 month-old who weighs 8.5 kg.?
Avatar n tn Hi - I am taking Phen short term to get past the plateau. I lost 130 pounds and have been stuck for 2 months, but the Phen seems to be working - lost 8 pounds in 6 days. I only have 30 pills and am being monitored by my doctor. 15 pounds to goal and then just have to maintain it! Thanks!
Avatar f tn You can call and speak to a nurse or doctor at the hospital or another office that is open. And of course there's always Google. Personally I'm surprised that the doctor said to take DM since it's typically more dangerous. Dextromethorphan (DM) is the chemical that makes you trip (hallucinatory or get a kind of drunk type feeling) if you drink enough and is very commonly abused and can be pretty harmful, so that's why it surprises me so much that they said take that.
