1243333 tn?1296446902 ve developed a ulcer), the last hospital stay when they discharged me they told me to tell the doc and they could put me on different meds, but the only response I keep getting is we have you on the max dose, in my experience with life more is not necessarily best so would the same be true of BP meds.( My Bp at home runs around 190/145 plus) I take valturna 300/325mg, coreg 25mg, spironolactone 100mg, hydralazine 100mg, norvasc 10mg, imdur 120mg, clonidine 0.
Avatar f tn You should take it at the same time every day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember but if it is time for the next dose, do not take 2 doses. It may cause dizziness and fatigue, but there are no reports of weight gain with this medication. Do not take with alcohol. Bystolic also does not interact with Fosamax or multivitamins and iron.
Avatar f tn I've been on bystolic for about a month and a half. I've had some dizziness and a little fatigue. No problems sleeping or anything like that, though. I was previously on metoprolol and had awful nightmares, way worse dizziness and light headedness, heavy leg sensations, etc. Bystolic has been way better for me. Best of luck to you!
Avatar m tn I too have constant dizzy spells and am a very low dose of bystolic its so scary
Avatar m tn I was put on 2.5mg am and 5mgpm bystolic. I used to walk 4 miles and play good golf. I have put on weight i have no engegy to walk nor desire .My golf is now poor tired after 12 holes. any "effort tires me. Am 81 and always felt much younger. no longer. I wonder if less would make a difference. I couldn,t even finish a stress test.
Avatar m tn The question I have is I am taking Bystolic Imdur ER and Lisiniprol which I know the Bystolic keeps the heart rate way down...at what rate should I use for heart rate for training .. My max would normally 158 but I am not sure what changes on meds.......
1189366 tn?1265219887 2 weeks ago the Doctor reduced my meds to 25 mgs of Zoloft and 1/4 of the dose of Bystolic. Within a few days, most of my PAC/PVCs have gone away. Has anyone had this experience? I'm still wondering which drug was doing it.
Avatar n tn Recently my doc placed me on the Beta Blocker Bystolic. Week one was 5mg. Week 2 was 10mg and week three was the final ramped up dose of 20mg. I was fine on the 5 and 10 mg tablets but felt like crap in the morning after taking the 20mg tablet. The doc allowed me to cut the 20mg tablet in half until our next apt at which time he prescribed Carvedilol 25 mg twice a day. Anyone have any insight as to why he might have done that?
715004 tn?1309077280 I've been on Bystolic 5 mg. for a short time now to bring my heart rate down and keep my BP from spiking. I've noticed a very uncomfortable crawly feeling in my chest (feels almost like I imagine small soda bubbles in there would feel). Has anyone else had a similar sensation or knows what this might be? BP now averages 103/62. Heart rate is about 66.
214864 tn?1229715239 I failed at the 24hr toddler care role while taking 80mg coreg cr. ( 100mg coreg controlled release). the heart effects make it bout impossible to die!! I took max dose for 10 years and when heart failure came I stopped the coreg cold turkey.. and spent next 3 months in cicu !!! as my brain flipped a switch putting all other organs in EXACT OPPISITE MODE FROM WHAT SCIENCE HAS ALWAYS SEEN AT END STAGE HEART FAILURE.
1217309 tn?1267050177 i went to the doctor today and he switched me Metroplol XR to Bystolic 5mg for my PVCs. I looked the medicine up as usual and it said on one of the websites not to take Bystolic if you have an irregular heartbeat(I know I shouldn't have been searching the internet) Does anyone have any exerience with this? Also he gave me Lexapro to help with that anxiety over these anyone had sucess with this, I heard it can be quite nasty. Thanks!
3086858 tn?1340852861 s impossible to give you a specific recommendation without looking at all your test, but in general it is extremely important to specify what type of tachycardia you have to justify a high dose of Bystolic. A high dose of beta blocker (BB) by itself (e.g. Bystolic) can produce extreme fatigue in some patients. If you have sinus tachycardia it should not be treated with BB.
Avatar n tn Original bystolic dose 10 mg, I cut in half and feel better with that. When I see the doctor we may make further dosing adjustments. By the way, it is hard to sleep when the heart is flip flopping like that, stay off the left side. Good luck.
Avatar n tn If you have benign palpitations I would stay away. I was switched to bystolic, which has worked well for me where toprol and atenolol didn't.
Avatar f tn I have taken a low dose of Buspirone on and off the past few years. My doctor increased my dose a few months ago (I take 15 mg twice a day) and I feel like sometimes my heart palpitates and night. The palpitations are waking me up some nights. My BP also seems to be spiking on and off the last couple months. I'm wondering if it related to the Buspirone or something else?
Avatar n tn I have tried atenolol, but makes me sooooo tired, I am also tired on Bystolic not as much. Could the Bystolic be causing circulatory problems? No edema to feet or ankles but, some to medial knees. Thank you. This discussion is related to Side effects of Bystolic.
Avatar f tn My doc LOVES Bystolic. Both are Selective Betablockers and they say Bystolic has little or no side effect. I would give it a try. I have not used either but have heard very good things about it.
Avatar m tn I also felt bad joint pain and gained a significant amount of weight during the month I was on Bystolic (about 10 to 15 pounds). I researched Bystolic and found that all these symptoms occur in other people who take Bystolic, and so I decided to get off of it (with the permission of the other doctors). I gradually weaned off of the medicine over a period of a little over two weeks. I stopped taking it on June 16.
Avatar m tn •Have a slow heartbeat or your heart skips beats (irregular heartbeat) I'm guessing that my doctor thinks my heart palpitations are not considered an irregular heartbeat? I'll ask him but I found this a little scary.
