ritalin

Avatar n tn What are the best nappies to buy for newborns in the UK??? Today I was recommended aldis nappies?
Avatar f tn You can get income support from 26weeks of pregnancy until delivery and then get the bonus lump sum to help with the cost of buying baby things. Am not sure about the maternity pay but getting professional advice is your best shot.
Avatar f tn I took ritalin in late teens for adhd and developed epilepsy in early thirties. No history of seizures in family but my brother who also took ritalin in late teens also eveloped seizures as I did.
Avatar f tn It only effects the reuptake of Doapamine in the brain and nothing else. This action is just the ticket for about 20% of people that suffer from Depression and Anxiety, but the other 80% do much better on an SSRI, SNRI, or Tri-cyclic antidepressant. Only a small portion of depression sufferers have Doapamine related depression. Odds are that your depression is not related to Doapamine levels.
Avatar n tn If it does not, it would be an indication that the dose is too low. Before trying the Ritalin in the morning, I would talk with your doc about increasing the V one more time. And yes, you are right that Ritalin is faster working. So it might be worth trying to see how he responds to that. And some people just do better on R anyway. If he does not respond to the R in 15 to 20 min. It may be that he is what Dr. Parker calls a slow metabolizer. See more about that here - http://www.
Avatar f tn dr stopped me cold turkey and put me on wellbutrin sr on the 10th and he said stop the ritalin yeasterday
Avatar f tn t afford childcare n in 16 weeks preg anyway so we only get little help!
Avatar n tn I am in the UK (I presume you are in the States). My understanding is that if this treatment is useful that there are probably problems with sensory integration and this treatment deals with the auditory ones. But improving one sense can have a beneficial knock on effect on other senses and behaviours. This is a treatment I am considering for my son, but there are no funds available at present, so it is on the back burner as something to try.
916412 tn?1361201386 Here's a thought hun. Why not get a side by side then make the covers for them. You could do that or have someone do that for you.... It's a thought.
Avatar m tn All i want to know is will it show up at all and if it does will it show my high levels of ritalin being in my system so the doctors will know i was abusing it. If anyone knows what theyre talking about please answer this question so i know what i should expect at my next visit and perhaps give me a hint as to what i should say because if it does show up, perhaps just proving i have a prescription to ritalin will get me off the hook? any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
3144915 tn?1343061774 I have been diagnosed with ADHD by two physicians and been on medication for 3 years..I am a 51 year old woman. I have shown signs all my life however, I chose not to believe there was a such thing until I had to face it. I do OK and the meds but still do not live a full life. I am newly married, my husband knows of my condition and knows I take meds but doesn't understand. We get along great until my symptons interupt our plans or cost us money. I have no insurance..
Avatar f tn I have to defer to LetaB regarding ADHD as i have no personal experience of it. Are you seeing a regular Dr or a psychiatrist, as this sounds quite a complicated thing to manage with getting meds right for both ADHD and Bipolar. Is this the first medication that you've been offered? Its not one that is used here in the UK, over here depakote and lithium are used as first line treatment for bipolar. However it is a treatment for BP.

Avatar f tn Most of us are in the U.S. and would not be able to answer your question, as we don't know the rules surrounding your NHS. You should check with your local authorities. Or you could check with another clinic to see. We do find that the NHS does not, often, allow for adequate thyroid testing/treatment, and many of our members do have to go private in order to get adequate care. Do you know the exact TSH level? Some doctors refuse to begin treatment until TSH is quite high.
468452 tn?1225964888 My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug? I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place? Does anyone know about this???
4020799 tn?1355825570 I'm having one. I'm in Australia. We aren't telling anyone the sex of the baby until the shower so my partners mum has done the pink and blue theme. We have games, a bbq lunch and desert. They have a pool, and stuff so being summer here should be good. But I'm not doing the girlie shower it's a moved family one.
1421489 tn?1285525635 Thanks for your comments - it seems that with NICE and reduction in benefits, MS-ers are having a bad time of it in the UK at the moment (disclaimer: only in comparison with the prior UK situation, not in comparison to the US...) Is anyone out there in the UK and on DMDs? If so, did the neuro prescribe them as a matter of course, or did it take a while?
Avatar f tn Where you prescribed this in the begging because they thought you had a Attention Disorder?? I was buying my Adderral off the streets and snorting it with my Methadone..SmilingBright hit it right on the nail!!!! Oh ya at first with the dones I would get the buzz and get everything done at the same time.."Compulsive Behavior" and then I did turn to psycho woman just like SmilingBright..Then I went c/t from those 2 meds plus the benzo I took at night..I am telling you the w.
14631020 tn?1436545476 I realize some medicines take a while to get into your system before they actually work and some medicines are fast acting and you get immediate results. The Ritalin has made me slightly more mentally aware, but I am still bone tired. Should I give it more time or call him and tell him it isn't working?
Avatar m tn Hi Gester: You do not have to start a new thread to ask your question. You can continue on the original thread if you'd like. The members will see your continued comments in the first post. It will be hard for others to understand the full question without you explaining the entire post again.
1580085 tn?1400940838 Hi I too am in the UK and I am afraid our GP's don't seem to be very good at dealing with this illness. I spent 2 years when first diagnosed being told my blood tests were normal whilst feeling awful, my main symptom being anxiety when my levels are wrong. I gained weight and was told by my gp that this wasn't a sympton just an excuse!
