Avatar f tn WASHINGTON — In a ruling important to many companies across the country, the Commerce Department announced Friday that Chinese steelmakers sold steel tubes used by the oil and gas industry at below-market value in the U.S., a practice that domestic steelmakers say has harmed their operations. The department issued the ruling late Friday, and the decision affects imported carbon or alloy tubular steel products from China that are used in oil and gas wells. These imports were valued at $1.
Avatar m tn But drug pricing experts expect Gilead and its rivals may still argue that the quicker cure represents a value to patients, buffering any steep price reductions. "The position and concept of pharma is not ingredient costs or duration of treatment cost. Pharma is looking at it as cost per cure," said John Whang, co-president of Reimbursement Intelligence, which works with pharmaceutical companies and payers to help determine prices for medicines.
425200 tn?1368741070 Many people make that claim but no one can back it up. I work with many doctors and I can tell you that the drug companies do not control what is said and done in the field and no doctor is going to risk their career over being told what to do by a third party. If it doesn't make sense, it's most likely not true. Also, there is no concrete evidence yet that serum TGLs are tied to heart disease, they are just another fat in your blood.
6548496 tn?1384490023 how do you deal with a break up with your boyfriend? Me and my boyfriend just broke up because he cheated on me once again i need some advice somebody help~~~!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn I've been taking multi-vitamins for a long time, but now I'm wondering what kind of break should I take? Usually, I stopped taking vitamins for 3-4 months, but now I don't feel very well, I'm thinking to continue the course.
281219 tn?1219114914 I know what you mean Christina, along with just so many visits for Brayden, they also won't even look at him down here where I live if he is born before May 1, don't ask me why.. they just said they would have to transfer him up to a hospital 2 hours away because he wouldn't be *full term*.. I always thought after 37 weeks you were considered full term, but not with this insurance company.
Avatar f tn Why is it drug companies withhold information about what certain drugs are taking away from the body when being used to treat the condition they were designed for?
Avatar f tn Dane has it absolutely right! Pain pills and Pain itself has become a business in the Western World. And I say it like that because I lived in Singapore for 2 years and other places in SE Asia at times and I can promise you that you can only get something derived from opium at a hospital and it's only given in the most severe cases. And I am not talking about some third world countries....
415684 tn?1257329318 Oh, I am aware that the drug companies make a bundle on some drugs. The one article was basically talking about the stock value. However, without the research and the possibility of making $$$, where would we be. There are many drugs that never make it to market either. There should be some sort of happy median. If stockholders don't make money, who will invest $$ in the research.
8924846 tn?1410572901 I'm considering leaving my bf. He is not the father of my baby, but wants to be since he is sterile and the actual father doesn't want to be involved. We dated on and off for a few years and I got pregnant while we were broken up and got back together before I found out. I had no plans of getting back with him it just kind of happened. I've been trying to convince myself I'm happy, because I know how excited him and his family are and I don't want a messy break up.
Avatar f tn Hi there, So, you are having a baby with him, is that right? Are you both teenagers? Lots of big things coming your way very soon. Are you living with his parents too or are you are with yours and he's with his? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to understand. Do you have any support from your own family? On the surface, I think it is smart to expect certain things out of the father of our children.
Avatar m tn I have tried a few times not to talk to her and each time i end up failing and messaging her. BUt everytime I do i just end up crying and in more pain. So you are right I do need to just leave her be. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I have the hardest time when i try and fall asleep. How did all of you get through your break up/ heart breaks in a positive way?
Avatar f tn I just watched "under our skin", a documentary on Lyme's disease. I bring it up because it's considered a political disease, as much as CM or CFS. Doctors who have treated chronic Lyme's patients have lost their licenses and/or been driven into bankruptcy;others have quit before their lives were ruined. The narrator said that most lawsuits against doctors are brought by insurance companies!
1961140 tn?1450738712 00 allowed you to avoid the sales tax of the true value of the home. Now, the states have wised up and have a 5 year "look back" period; i.e. if you bought the home in 2005 for $1.00, but your relative died in 2009, you have to pay the taxes on the currently assessed value. Asking someone on disability to pay $20K for these drugs is nothing short of obscene, especially since I was treated previously making my chances of total viral clearance drop from 80% to less than 40%.
Avatar m tn But what was it she was saying about the number of insurance companies and how she is limited in her choice? Why can she not choose her own Insurance and why is it not more competitive so that people can choose what is affordable? My niece has a friend who works for a health insurance company and they give them incredible perks, fancy cars right off the showroom, gift cards at 5000.
649848 tn?1534633700 Looks like the pharmaceutical companies come out on top!!! Here's part of an article I found this morning; THE INFLUENCE GAME: Drug lobby's health care win By ALAN FRAM (AP) – 6 hours ago WASHINGTON — Chalk one up for the pharmaceutical lobby. The U.S. drug industry fended off price curbs and other hefty restrictions in President Barack Obama's health care law even as it prepares for plenty of new business when an estimated 32 million uninsured Americans gain health coverage.
