Great Idea! I would love to post a link to my fav song for bad days but we don't have high speed dial-up and have trouble watching streaming videos on our computer. Maybe you can look them up! Two songs by Van Morrison "Into the Mystic" and "Brown Eyed Girl". I also listen to Green Day's "Good Riddance" when I'm missing my Daddy. I played that song at his funeral... Let the Bodies Hit the Floor is a Family Favorite of ours too!

Have u girls heard songs that you can dedicate to your baby?...I was hearing some n thought I'd share some with you girls...whenever I'm having a bad day listening to these songs help me..makes me think of my future with my son who is due march 8th..here are a few ill post more as I hear them...

I'm not big on things like using a song on the radio to convey my feelings to someone I care about. And if someone shared their feelings that way with me, I'd probably blow it off because it wasn't specifically written by them. I'd set up a time to meet or send her a card and write your feelings yourself. Yes, music can move you when the lyrics seem to speak to us.

I quit listening to Tori Amos because of it. I love her songs but I always end up in a really bad place. When I am in a bad place her songs come to mind. I listen to Christian Contemporary or Country. The lyrics you can sing along with and they usually don't make me cry. Some country songs can be pretty depressing too though so I have to watch.

There is NO way I can narrow this down to one choice!!! LOL I have a very wide range of music that I love listening to-from heavy rock like Panterra, disco-Blondie, and classical Mozart. I'm not a huge fan of country music-I will admit to liking a few songs, like Carrie Underwood's-Before He Cheats (title????).

When I was a student I listened to Pink Floyd alot but I can't listen to it now as it really brings back dark thoughts. My Bipolar songs.. If that was the case I could consider myself a singer as I can visualize and appreciate what the lyrics to my songs would sound like if done right. But if I do try to sing dog for miles around would start to howl. And I really mean that. I wrote a song for a woman I knew (music and lyrics) and she begged me to sing it for her. So that night when I went home I spent hours try to sing it the best I could. The next time I saw her I gave her the tape to listen to.

So I'm not the biggest fan of generic, old school lullabies. I have a few songs picked out that I'm gonna be singing to her, but I'd love to hear some more suggestions and what you ladies plan to sing to yours or already are.

Maybe I like this version better because I think the lead vocal is much better live than it is on the studio version and so I listened to this version so much that these seem like the right lyrics to me. That Band was so great that I have never understand why Robbie Robertson broke it up. To make music like that would have been heaven to me. Did he think he could do better on his own or with other musicians? If he did he proved himself dead wrong.
