Often (which happened just last night) knee and elbow pain keep me up as they get so achy and sore and couldn’t find any relief. So is this arthritis?? What can I do to relieve some of the pain? I also suffer from lower back pain and my jaw has always cracked when i open my mouth for as long as I can remember.
The technician looked at my med list and asked if I am taking Boniva and Synthroid. I answered yes. I take other meds other than those two she mentioned. I was told that it would worsen after the chemo (carbo/taxoterre), and it did. Not terribly, but a decrease in bone mass just that same. I started on Boniva and my cholesterol shot up about 120 points. I just stopped that recently and my numbers dropped by 80 points. Seems there are downsides for everything. Now taking Viactiv with vitamins D & K, 3 chews a day. Will have another bone density next April. I also am fairly physically active and hope that will help.

I have had very little problems with Prolia. I've done 4 injections over the past 2 years. Just a little bit of bone pain for the first 2 wks after the injection then, it goes away. well that definitely depends on the kind of surgery and the clinic...this can vary a great deal. get an estimate if surgery is even recommended, doesn't hurt to even get a second opinion IF your not familiar with the Vet you are seeing...

She has not changed her diet or any meds. She is a creature of habit and eats and does the same things every day. She is 90 yrs old and still very able and mobile. She is on Lopressor 25mg, Mucinex 600mg, Aspirin 162mg, Aldactone 25mg, Lasix 20mg, OTC multivitamin, OTC calcium 500mg, and OTC iron. Her BP runs consistently in the 130's/70's with her pulse in the mid 60's.

I had an ultrasound the same day which showed an 8 mm benign cyst and several other subcentimeter benign cysts, some with low internal echoes (what are internal echoes?
heart beating faster, needles and pin feeling in arms and legs. gained a lot of weight. back and leg problems. family dr sent me to a heart specialist, they took all kinds of tests and found nothing wrong. family dr took blood tests, cbc, can't remember what else. I have had sever TMJ on right side (condyle deterioration), and also on the same side has a root canal performed 3 years earlier. Which all reside on the same side as the thyroid nodule.
Recently I began to wonder whether or not there might be some correlation here.
