Her primary issue is the loss of bone in her jaw, leaving some teeth loose. But her bone density tests (I think) are fine. One physican gave her Synthroid, another told her to stop. One perscribed Boniva, another said no, cause she is a young lady. Here are her labs. Any comments?

TP1NP: 26.57 (Range: 20.00 to 100.0 ng/ml)
Vitamins D: 42.27 (Range: 50.00 to 100.0 nmol/l)
Osteocalcin: 19.49 (Range: 11.00 to 43.00 ng/ml)

I was told that it would worsen after the chemo (carbo/taxoterre), and it did. Not terribly, but a decrease in bone mass just that same. I started on Boniva and my cholesterol shot up about 120 points. I just stopped that recently and my numbers dropped by 80 points. Seems there are downsides for everything. Now taking Viactiv with vitamins D & K, 3 chews a day. Will have another bone density next April. I also am fairly physically active and hope that will help.
Thyroid hormone does not cause bone loss, it simply increases metabolism and therefore the rate of the current bone formation or loss. Most older women are losing bone due to their combined sex steroid, DHEA, Vitamin D, and growth hormone deficiencies. I monitor this site for info on my eye condition. I do not know if the papilloma specifically is related, but Boniva and drugs like it can cause swelling around the eyes as you describe. Just read any website discussing adverse effects of Boniva. I think it worth discussing with your doctor. You should be very aware and cautious of any facial swelling while on Boniva.
, I have been diagnosed as rosacia. I also have had a severe loss of hair, and the texture has changed so dramatically, any new growth is completely different than it was before. My face and hair have been casing me problems for 4 years. Could any of these be caused by Kenalog or Synvisc?

They are given generally prescribed orally and include Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva. They can cause some severe stomach distress as they did for my father. When this happens there are injectable forms of bisphosphonates.
Ibandronate (Boniva injection) is injected into your vein once every three months, and zoledronic acid (Reclast) is injected once a year. If approved by your physician these treatments do not cause stomach distress and you do not have to remember to take a tablet.
I was taking the hormones to help my bones, as I have osteopenia and rheumatoid arthritis. I am on prescription drugs to help the bones (Boniva and calcium and vit. d). I'm worried about breast cancer with continuing the hormones. I had a partial mastectomy on my right breast which was benign. I had a cluster of microcalcifications which looked supicious, but turned out to be benign (big sigh)! Okay now my question.
I just finished Sovaldi and olysio and no hair loss at all, in fact hair looked great

That can effect hair loss, dryness etc( even my eye brows and under arms thinned from hypothyroidism )

I have seen a local Derm who said there was no scarring on my scalp and no real skin issues associated with my hair loss. In 2004 I took a course of Roaccutane for acne and noticed some thinning after the course finished. I was told that this was a known side effect, but that the hair would grow back. It has been over four years!!! My hair is uniformly thinned out across the entire scalp.
m natural with no chemicals in my hair and I have never had a problem with hair loss. I went from thick long hair to thin short hair. This is so sad. I'm not sure what to do because my skin has really cleared up from Doryx but if I continue to take it I will be bald with pretty skin! Not a great combination! Thanks for reviews!
