Avatar f tn He took some pics of a Big Polar Bear who seemed to have a broken rear leg, the criature had a lot of problems walking. Ok, next spring He went back to Alaska, saw the same Polar Bear with two cubes playing on the snow with them.
Avatar m tn The two viruses are not at all related hep b is a DNA virus hep c is an RNA virus the genetic material is not the same. hCV has nothing to do with HBV and vise versa. The confusion lies in the word Hepatitis it simply means inflammation of the liver. Ibuprofen can case hepatitis. So it's like asking if a doc examines my arm can he tell if my leg is broken.
Avatar m tn The nose end of the vehicle landed on her right lower leg, crushing the Tibia and Fracturing the Fibula. She was Med-Flighted the 40+ miles to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children in Alabama. I would have preferred that she had been flown to UAB in Birmingham, Alabama but she was losing a lot of blood, so good thinking on behalf of the Med Flight Crew. Anyway, she spent 8 hours in the Pediatric Trauma/ER before seeing a surgeon...
Avatar f tn My kitten fell off a shelf and twisted his leg about four days ago and he is behaving normally with the exception of being a bit off balance and some limping. However, his shoulder that he twisted is swelling and it doesn't seem to be going down. Is there anything I can do to help the swelling?
4118328 tn?1355497576 Ouch! I don't know about broken ribs, but my baby has bruised mine and they have been hurting for months now. I can't imagine broken ones! Yikes! Hope you feel better soon!
10456991 tn?1427890197 Can't sleep, I'm a ftm and having what feels like lighter menstrual cramps and leg pains. I'm 39 weeks and 3 days. It isn't a horrible pain but enough to keep me awake and uncomfortable. Not sure if they are contractions or not? I certainly can't find a comfortable position to get in whether I lay or sit up nothing seems to make it feel any better.
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
Avatar f tn A few of you asked to be updated on the kitty cat I found (or I should, "Who found us!"). We just got back from the vet. He got vaccinated, medication for an infection in his ears, de-wormer stuff, and x-rays. The x-rays showed a BB pellet lodged in the cat's chest, but that isn't something we have to worry about. But I was absolutely livid inside when the vet told me.
428506 tn?1296557399 My dr uses CD57 and other tests, and I trust him (on most things -- gotta be a little skeptical). He's very much an LLMD. As I've begun to get better on medication, he's continued to track CD57 and other markers. I see him again in about a week, and there will be more test results waiting, so I'll see what the symptom trend is against the test results and will post if there's anything interesting. Have you been tested for co-infections? Those can be as bad as the Lyme.
Avatar m tn First, it is essential to know that what unusual symptoms you are facing after broken screw. It may be possible that broken screw can impinge nerve and lead to some neurological symptoms. Please consult to a neurologist for a detailed approach. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn My kitty broke her leg and was in a splint for the last 4 1//2 weeks or so. The splint was taken off this AM and the muscle has atrophied badly, to the point where she can't really control it at all. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to help speed up the healing process. First and foremost she needs to be reminded the limb is hers and is there to use but then also that it can take weight so that the muscle can continue to develop. also she is only 6 months old!
645800 tn?1466860955 By this time the spasms in my right leg had gotten really bad and I was starting to get spasms in my left leg. I was really seriously considering heading to the ER after I left Dave, but then who would take care of his dog Buddy if they decided to keep me. I did stop and get myself something real good for dinner at Romano's before heading home so I didn't get home until 8PM.
Avatar f tn I was sort of exaggerating with the "Headache." Actually, I have a history of migraines. Once you get to know me you tend to find out that I tend to be sarcastic and have sometimes have a dry wit and a warped since of humor. Perhaps it's a coping mechanism. Perhaps it's insanity. Anyhoo... I have a history of migraines.
Avatar m tn He then explained to me that since she has had leg surgery to fix a broken leg bone, that she probably raises her leg as a reflex in a way to alleviate the pain she may feel, on and off, in her abdomen. If in two weeks there is no improvement or throughout the days she gets worst then we'd do x-rays and maybe even an ultrasound. Regardless I thank you for taking the time to help and clarify things for us pet owners. Your help is much appreciated.

Avatar f tn So I went into to l&d tonight. I'm still 1cm dilated but have reached 60% effaced. My baby was at -2 station but is posterior. I didn't know she was posterior until I read the chart since it wasn't mentioned to me. Also my water hasn't broken so we are good on that. Hopefully I progress soon and my baby turns into anterior.
